As reported by Modaco HTC is going to release a series of accessories for the HTC Diamond... Wooh... Going all out for this device i would say...

What's your wish list of accessories for this Diamond?

1) I hate this new philosophy of HTC. "We give you a REALLY bad battery and you must pay to get a real one", or "we give you a bad pouch (or not at all is it?) and you have to pay to get one that works"... They've already cut standard cradles for years, what is next? Optional stylus? Optional charger?

2) Since you ask: I'd wish for an accessory... microSD slot. Thank you.

all these are making me consider to buy the diamond during the PC Show in June. Previously HTC has bundled additional items during purchase during the PC Show.

after using the SS i780, feel that if Diamond also have that kind of traveller charger for 2nd batt would be nice.

or how abt a ext microsd card reader? heh, a bit funny kinda wish list...

It doesn't come with USB host support, so no hope for external HDD or card readers.

What about a WiFi/Bluetooth external hard drive (60GB)?

Diamond is nice "mass attraction" (for the nokia market etc.) - It is no question that THERE IS innovation in it, but there are also things that distance it from the hard-core PDA market (what MS was dreaming all along - and bad for us old PDA users).

The worse thing is that there are no more rumors about Raphael, which would be the REAL diamond to us (keyboard and swap 4GB internal to a nice microSD slot).

I might get it after all - or wait for the Xperia (that doesn't forget about us "geekpros" - or is it "progeeks").

(aaah... the world stopped after LOOX 720, x50v/x51v and 4700... only this year we see something REALLY interesting)

The Diamond seems to be a desperate attempt to fight with the iPhone.
HTC really thinks we can do with 4GB? I really hope it came with 8GB and 16GB variants.

But nevertheless.. it's a good direction HTC is heading. Main reasons are that their devices are really getting thinner, and secondly, VGA is finally mainstream!

Most importantly is hopefully the desktop charger comes with an extra battery charger.

Another for us entrepreneurs is that we are always on the move with our light trousers. Hopefully, HTC has that belt case clip that is available for all their range of phones (Dopod amd others). As i said previously, i don't want people to mistakenly assume a bulge in my pocket for something else when i have a meeting and lose their concentration.
