Can Garmin XT run on the i780 without using RealVGA or is it must use RealVGA then can run Garmin XT?

Hi Symphony - it works GREAT with or without RealVGA. :)

However - compared to Mapking - I can't seem to search by Postal Code using Garmin XT.

Though I must say the Garmin interface is designed to be more 'finger' friendly...

Anyone tried the software from this site? Seem like mostly are java.

hi guys ...what software are u using to monitor gprs usage? I tried spb gprs monitor and efficiasoft smartphone gprs monitor but both don't seem to be able to do the job... that is even when I use gprs, the counter remains at zero...

Add Lunar Calendar mode to Calendar:

You can add a Lunar Calendar mode to the Calendar view, showing a 'Month' view with the Lunar months/days.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Calendar\ShowLunarCalendar = 1 (DWORD decimal)
And to disable again:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Calendar\ShowLunarCalendar = 0 (DWORD decimal)

already tried... somehow it disenable my options to set lomg and short date format...

citrine, I just realised that to view the chats, u need to flick your finger up and down. just pretend your hand is the scroller. Mine is working fine now. Cheers.

Su2u is not compatible with RealVGA - the icos are mislaigned with the screen, you have to press left and up to "touch" them.

Anyone knows how to have Su2u activated with RealVGA 96 dip?

Anybody knows of any screen capture freeware that works on i780? I cannot capture anything from it's screen so far.

Forgot to mention that Warfare Incorporated(v1.2) works beautifully on the i780.

Can play multi-player too over wifi with other PocketPCs too!

I used my mobile v1.00 to do the screen capture. The i780 needs to be AS in order to use it.

Which version works fine with i780? i saw that there's an alph version. is this the version that is 'safe' and do you use it with REALVGA?

Other Freeware that you may want to consider:
- WM5NewMenu.CAB -> to provide you with shortcuts on your left or right soft keys
- WMA Phone Profiles -> configure profile for phone, can control volume, ring tones, sms tones based on your profile
- NOGPRS -> to disable GPRS settings, when you don't want your phone to autoconnect.
- OXIOS -> this doesn't seem to run very well on samsung.

Guys, i see that VITO sms chat is under the compatible software. However, i seem to have an issue sending out sms using vito sms chat. Apparently, the arrow stays orange and the opposite party is not receiving the sms sent out using Vito sms chat. Any one has the same issue?

I have installed realvga, ce star 2.8r3c, resco explorere v 6.17, keyswop only.

Since then, I have uninstalled Vito sms and the sms can be sent out without any issue. I am already used to threaded sms from treo750v, anyone has any comments or help?

Resco Photo Viewer www.resco.net works perfectly on my i780.

It also has a screen capture program which works a treat.

Just a note to say that Resco File Explorer 2007's today plugin works very well.

No, that was a screeshot of the Samsung Today plugin, but using the screenshot application that comes with Resco Photo Viewer.

Resco Today plugin is a shown is this shot under the calender plugin. I only have the battery icon showing, but you can have memory etc. There are also other skins for the meters. The apps icons can either all be large as shown or all small.

The quality of the screenshot has been reduced btw.

You can have more apps added as well for Resco Today plugin. Just starts another line.

over at XDA Nadavi has posted a new rom which has a theme called Samsung Today. its hows something called explorer. can anyone tell me if this today theme (which wasn't originally on my US purchased device) is trul configurable?

i was trying out Oxios (Oxios Memory 1.4 - Freeware) , and it does not go well with the i780, not sure if its ROM issue or not, but sometimes, i can't even answer an incoming call.

Apparently, it does not work well with some of the recent devices as well, e.g. HTC Touch Enhanced, TyTN II, Touch Dual. One similarity between these devices is that they have 128MB RAM.

So had any of you guys try out this codewallet software before whether it is suitable for i780? For previously i used it on my HP ipaq 6828 . This software is for putting those confidential stuff such as your password or pin number for your credit card and etc.

As an add on to my previous post, i have tried real vga (96 dpi) along with the following softwares with issues as listed -

SPB Mobile Shell - Upon screen off, it would not turn on with a Now Screen out of memory error
SPB Phone Suite - After some time the phone would automatically go to flight mode and then only a soft reset would allow it to come out of flight mode

Ended up doing a hard reset and reinstalling the phone with stuff as listed in my previous post above.
