I hope this will be helpful for those whom are Apple Mac users.
Recently I started using the Mac myself and am still learning the tips and tricks of it, as it is not so direct, meaning Windows Mobile ActiveSync is not available for Mac is a headache, but not to worry as there are alternatives and work around for this. It may not give you the full Windows Mobile experience, but for those whom are in this situation where you simply love your Windows Mobile device but have to or are using a Mac, here are some pointers.
4 Reasons for Synchronizing:
1. There are two school of users, those that are using iCal, Address Book(Mac's)...etc.
2. Than there are those whom sync with Office Mac, like Entourage.
3. Than there are those whom wants programs on the Windows Mobile device that only works on a PC, they will use Bootcamp.
4. Some people want to run Parallels, VMWare Fusion to run both Windows XP or Vista concurrently on a Mac. You can do this but it is more troublesome.
Of these four reasons, I would recommend a combination of 1+3:
Use The Missing Sync for Entourage or iCal....etc but when you want to download a program to your Windows Mobile device, you can Bootcamp to do that so that you have a clean platform to work with.
Because when you are using/running Parallel/VMware Fusion, it is a little laggy that might cause some slowdown in the process.
I would only recommend this two synchronization software, the rest has issues, but do add in your points if you find something better.
Synchronization Software:
1. The Missing Sync 2. PocketMac
