This may come as a little surprise for you as Acer has just
announced that they are entering agreements to acquire E-TEN. So, will we be seeing interesting devices emerging from this acquisition towards the end of this year or the next? Let's hope they bring down the prices of Pocket PC Phones as well.

Eten already has one of the cheapest (if not the cheapest) Pocket PC phones out there when you look at the specs but lower prices are always welcomed. I wonder how this will change for Glofiish though. Would they be creating less powerful devices but with better designs? Or focus on customer support? It sure interesting to note.
By the way, the acquisition should happen by summer of this year as both executives have approved it.

Very good, as Eten has very innovative devices but really needs a leg up on marketing and brand name recognition.
Four months with my X800 and nothing in the market now is really good enough to give me compelling reason to change my device, looking forward to the next range of Acer-Eten devices.

As much as competitive pricing is essential for Acer Glofiish, I feel that Eten should also step up on their user interface, so that the Glofiish users can enjoy a 'stylus-less' mobile experience...
just saw the MWG Atom V Cnet video review...aha...that interface is really useful and cool...

Erm...perhaps the yet-to-be-revealed user interface on V900 is what you are waiting for. However, it still depends on the Windows Mobile core since what manufacturers can only do is "slap" an
additional user interface on top of it, e.g. HTC TouchFLO, Spb Mobile Shell, etc.

I hope the acquisition by ACER does not diminish the quality of the current glofiish phones. I really like the curent phone.

Agreed, X800 still have one of the best spec out of the most ppc in market right now.

It's probably they've run out of memory or realise it's slow.
I was considering the X800 too, but I decided to wait for the Touch Cruise. I'm glad with my purchase, as im enjoying lots of memory and weeks of usage without resetting. I don't even need to use Oxios hibernate anymore.
I guess.. I can do without VGA.. I'd rather have VGA on larger devices ~3.5". That would be more useful. VGA on devices without HW assist can slow down the system as well..

hmm, ic that...today marks the day TM officially stops distributing glofiish, but will still support existing customers.
