Nothing new lah. Just an update.

Step 1: Install A2DP Toggle
What For?

“When the user connects a Stereo A2DP headset, and selects the "Wireless Stereo" profile, the Bluetooth Adv. Audio Output becomes the nr. 1 audio output route.

The problem is that sometimes we are already listening to audio in the device's speakers, and then suddenly we want to switch the output to our a2dp headsets - this is sometimes problematic, as the First audio driver changes from "Audio Output" to "Bluetooth Adv. Audio Output" and the applications currently playing audio need to be restarted.

For such issues, we have provided a tool, as freeware, that will install as a today plugin and offer the user the possibility of instantly switching the audio between Device Speaker and A2DP Stereo Headset.”Raul Rinca, Teksoft Romania.

I further suggest that instead of using it as a Today Plugin, it is better to do launch it using WM5NewMenu software from Today screen. I have been doing this for months and find it the fastest and most effective way. Works 100% of the time. Just press the MFB button on your Bluetooth Headset and tap the WM5NewMenu softkey icon at bottom right and select a2dp.
WM5New Menu can be downloaded from here
http://www.saman-cz.com/ppc/index.html

Under WM5NewMenu's parameter field for a2dp just key in this:
a2dp.exe -bluetooth:0/1 -a2dp:0/1
(f you want it to start both a2dp and Bluetooth)

The a2dp.exe file is located at \Program Files\Teksoft\A2DPToggle\A2DP.exe

Step 2: Install a good Music Player that has equalizer, and Bluetooth remote control AVRCP support.

Best music player so far for listening to Bluetooth stereo music is Pocket Music 5.
Coreplayer and Conduit Pocket Player are also good.
Another good free player is MortPlayer.
Download MortPlayer 3.31RC1 from here
http://www.netfox2.net/Telechpage/Logiciels/MortPlayer.php
Install on your PPCPhone.
This version of MortPlayer supports BT A2DP & AVRCP & Album Art!

Step 3: Do encoding of mp3 that is of good quality of at least 128/192 kbps and above. Poor encoding can produce hissing and distortions. See
http://mobile-sg.com/simpleblog/archives/post.asp?id=1044

Step 4: Use a good quality earphone plug-in. Earphones are very important also. Lousy earphone=lousy music.

This a2dp toggle utility is really excellent. It works 100% to switch on the Bluetooth and a2dp without fail. Never misses! grin.gif

After much trying, find that Pocket Music 5 is by far the best music player when the Extra Bass is ON. Beats Coreplayer and Pocket Player IMHO.

Hi Symphony,

For some reason, the program does not work for O2 Zinc, running on WM6. After installation, I tried to switch on the BT via the program but does not work. I even tried manually switching the BT via O2 BT Manager and tried the play button but does not work.

Hope you can shed some light into this.

TQ and regards,

Hi Symphony,

Well, the file that I received via email is only 80KB and the file on the freeware site states it's 245KB, so I may have gotten incomplete file but the funny thing is, the installation goes through.

I also don't know why i getting this error, but do note that the program directory contains no "a2dp.exe" file either, only a dll file.

Do advise.
