Is there a software whereby I can cycle through the SIPs using hardware buttons?
The little arrow beside the SIP button is hard to tap with the finger..

Thanks!

Interesting idea. I should be able to get it done by this weekend. Now the problem is finding a nice application icon for it.

WooHoo! Expert!
Perhaps it can be a small app.. so we can use Hbutton to map our buttons to it.
Thanks! smile.gif

Well an alternative is to map the app SIPChange to a hardware button and launch to select your preferred SIP entry from there, but definitely would appreciate vicott's efforts for his new app, cant wait for its debut! grin.gif

think there is a version posted on ppcsg previously, written by one of the members

the website

the thread on ppcsg

download and install it, then assign that shortcut via a hardware button mapping..

have been using it, it works great!

There is a menu for that application though. What's in my mind is one without any menus/prompts and just toggles silently. One button press to toggle rather than 2.

there is one more utility i used last time for my atom because of memory i had lots of problems getting sips to load..

so i used another freeware called Sipz to cycle through all the sips (enabled ones) to load them as the ppc is starting... before the memory hungry giants consumes all avail memory..

this is a silent tool though, am not quite sure what application there may be.. it loads all the sips

And just when I was thinking of converting the project to this...you saved me from all the trouble. w00t.gif

Such a tool is certainly very useful in solving the SIP loading issues. I might be able to try TouchPal on my TyTN II again.

Cool vicott, hope you can come up with something for my Advantage too, have problem now loading ZTA4 as my SIP entry.

Eh...ZTA4 installs a quick load in the startup folder so that it will be automatically toggled upon startup. I suppose that should be sufficient to solved the SIP problems.

But when the shortcut is removed because of the need to use another SIP as the default one, then Sipz which o_tako_taku recommended should be able to do the job.
lmf2501
Have that done that to no avail, was fine previously however it aint loading recently, will have to start from scratch again...

hi all, heh glad you all found the apps useful..

personally i was and am still using PQzII since the Hermes days, because I found it suited my needs best..

I am quite crazy - i have a thing for SIPs.. so the SIPz may not load all so well.. sometimes the error dialog popups when one of the sips cant be loaded (for whatever reason - it may be intermittent) at boot time..

best is, it will select the sip depending on landscape or portrait mode.. it also has loads of other nifty utilities that i dont use but you more techy people have have use for..

here is the link. <-- an English version of the site. wub.gif

Any luck on your TyTN II? The application shows up as blank & white icon on the taskbar that does not respond to clicks and covers the connection icon. wacko.gif

sorry for the late reply - glad u got it working :)

the white icon, simply allows you to use your own 'skins' hehe (i usually shift it out of position so as not to clutter my screen)

I disabled the icon as it just seems out of place no matter where I shift it.

Anyway, the most useful feature I like is the ability to switch SIP when screen is rotated. This allows me to choose Null Keyboard as the active SIP when I slide out my keyboard. No more unnecessary SIP popups when I use the keyboard. grin.gif

The other feature I use is to map the "Windows" button in the QWERTY keyboard to "CTRL", so I can have quick access to "CTRL+A", "CTRL+C", etc. grin.gif

Other than these, I have disabled all other features in the applications as I do not need them. The first tab in the settings is enough for me.

I'm also using the Windows button on the QWERTY since it's the only button I never use.
