Previously we had to sign out and sign in (not log in and out) for those of us Touches with contacts showing as off-line, though they were on. This was a workaround.

Quite substantial blame was put on CE-star, but found this over at HTC Europe's website, so whether or not CE-Star served as a catalyst or was the reason, we may never know. Now at long last the solution.

Installation instructions

Thanks I have installed it but how do I know the installation is successfully . I only see the install tab which I click and then there is the build number , I click ok . Is that all ?

I just did the ROM upgrade. Seems like the problem has also been solved. Not I am not absolutely certain.

I am having the same problem as all of you guys. I cannot for my life figure how to fix wlm. I did figure out that if i swapped accounts it would work, but this was painfully slow.

I then went and downloaded agile messenger which worked ok, but still, i preferred wlm.

So if anyone could be so nice as to send me the file so i can fix my touch.

The HTC site has the messenger fix but both the download locations come up with location not found, this is the same for the bluetooth fix :(

i have the htc touch and i have this problem with the online contacts as well... i tried the hotfix which is available on the e-club site but it's not installing i have the OS 5.2.1238 now the instructions say to copy the file to the mobile and click on it but i'm getting the following msg: hprocesssnap so any ideas??
