lmf.. seriously.. i wonder where you all dig that out sia..
i visited the whole ST site.. i can't see any link to that promo..

anyway.. calculating.. $69.30 x 6 (for 12 mths contract) = $415.80
average out it's gonna be $34.65

so plus whatever plan you sign.. (based on 12 mths only *$200 trade in)
(iTwo plus) $388 + 415.80 = $803.80
(iOne, Classic) $588 + 415.80 = $1003.80

so based on classic plan (coz i'm using it)
$1003.80 - ($988 *$200 trade in*) = $15.80!! (total difference for signing together with 3600plan from what i see.. oh ya.. make sure you look at clause before signing.. since i can't see any terms & condition.. just a note.. ST is good at putting * ** ^ # + signs in front of their services..)

hoped my calculation does help in your decision in getting TyTnII smile.gif
hope i didn't get calculate wrongly.. Coz the price for $988 includes $200 trade in already..

The link is on their Broadband on Mobile site. It's also in the papers big & clear today. $988 is without trade-in and without data plan

Hi arin,

i was given the heads up by members kellycog and khooyong. logged on last night and saw their posts regarding the availability of the devices.

Hi vicott,

hows the wait? You have to wait til early or late noon i guess.
arin
hmmm.. woke up late today.. didn't get the chance to read newspaper coz i need to rush to work after all that tweaking i had yesterday!!!

anyway from what vicott provided..
$1003.80 - ($988 - *$200 trade in*) = $215.80.. (total difference with 3600plan)
sounds a little ouch to me.. but if i average out into 12 mths would be $17.98 ..

and yeah.. vic.. you still outside comcentre? hahahahaha..
i wanna to FEEL your new toy..

M1 doesn't have any offer to that... any one got news by M1?

Quote from here http://asia.cnet.com/crave/page/1/

After its initial launch announcement a couple of weeks back, the much-anticipated HTC TyTN II will finally be available in Asia Pacific, well, at least in Singapore.

Singapore-based operator SingTel will be the first with the goods for the island-state. From tomorrow, it will start selling the TyTN II from as low as S$388 (US$263.06) after a S$200 phone trade-in and contract subscription to both a high-end mobile plan and data plan (other terms and conditions apply). According to the SingTel flyer, the usual price of the TyTN II with a two-year mobile plan is priced at S$988 (US$670).

In Singapore, this will remain a SingTel exclusive for two weeks, after which retailers will start to offer the device at various outlets. Across Asia, the TyTN II will be rolled out over the next two weeks. If you are looking forward to buying this PDA-phone, check with your local mobile carrier or distributor for specific availability dates.

m1 is really going downwards..
bennnn
I think overall cheaper if you sign up the plan for the broadband.

If you go according to the previous calculation, you not only save money from taking the plan but you also get to defer paying a large sum of money to change for a phone. (You separate your payments into 6 months)

So, I think this plan is good to take up! Singtel seems to be so generous!

I think on top of this, if you are a singnet user, another 30% off the mobile broadband. This would mean you are paying about $25 per month.
online
Hey guys.... I bought IT in Parkway Level 1 Singtel booth!!

Paid $988 for 2 years renewal contract, without trade-in & without data plan contract.
(First time buying a phone/ppc without 'touching' the dummy set wacko.gif)

Actually, IMO, the $588 + $200 = $788 (without trade-in + 12 mths Broadband on Mobile 3600 at $48.51/mth if you're Singnet BB or Mio Plan customer) is a steal, as the BB on mobile 3600 comes with 6 mths free.
Meaning by saving the $200, you only pay $91.06 for 12 mths of BB on Mobile 3600.

Too bad I've using the TyTn II with an M1 SIM card so chose to pay $988 instead. brooding.gif
online
Just to add, I've called M1 hotline, visited M1 shop and they've got no idea when TyTn II will be released.

I didn't even wish to consider *hub, thus didn't bother to check......
arin
they actually released to other branches already.. i'm impressed... they were pretty fast on this..
online
Yup..... Think they got plenty of stocks there.

Cuz when I was testing my TyTn II there, I felt the button pad (or whatever it's called) kinda loose, i.e. when i try to move that part, the whole pad like moved here & that. So the guy simply opened another box to see if it's the same, and it appears so.

So I just get the 1st set.

Btw, I would like to praise that guy's service. He spent quite a lot of time (not sure 30-45mins) on my application as the 1st PC crashed and he had to re-enter everything again. Plus he answered a lot of my enquiries on my plan, etc.
Well Done!!

Too bad I forgot to note down his name...... Should have use my new toy to snap a pic of him huh.....

Some pics to compare HTC TyTn & iPAQ rw6828 (taken in the dark - kindly pardon the lousy shoot)

Hey hey hey..... There was some pretty long moments of silence as well, okies. Cuz he was busy keying in the application.
Not that I ask too many questions, alright tongue.gif
I even stopped playing with the set and waited for him.

Cuz I was converted my broadband and mobile plans to MIO plan and subscribed to MIO TV before that, he had to 're-apply' the MIO TV, guess it's kinda complicated lah. Can't blame him.
Btw, as stated in the receipt, I'm being served by Kok L****. 2 thumbs up for his service!!!

Anyway, there wasn't much of a crowd then. Only can see 1-2 people on the queue throughout when I'm there.
Perhaps it was dinner time smartass.gif

The looong-ness could be due to their system, as the guy besides me who purchased the SE W880i take quite some time too. grin.gif

addict951 > one, when making purchase, would expect the item he/she is gonna get is in a condition acceptable by his/her own standards, if i were to push something to you that you wish to purchase and in the end when you bring it home and realise its faulty would be happy about it? All praise by me too to the Singtel fellow, all service orientated although i believe the Q might be long.

>>ok thanks.

Hee, just nego with singtel and am allowed to upgrade my plan earlier whistle.gif . but er, I am at lost now cos of the price plan.

Price with 2 years re-contract:

Plan A : set is $988 (normal plan) - $200 (for premium plan) - $500 voucher = $288.

Plan B : Set is $588 (premium plan) - $500 Voucher = $88. But hv to sign broandband plan at $69.90 for one year (free 6 mths sub if promo is still on).

wonder which plan is value for $$ ... confused.gif wacko.gif
John Teoh
But are you using the BB (BroadBand, not the other BB) VAS now? If yes, then you check how much you are paying for 1 year and then compare how much are you going to pay if you sign up the higher price plan. If the 6mth promotion sill on then it is a good buy. Somemore if you singnet or mio user may have additional 30% discount.
John Teoh
Seem like you can get extra $100 more of buying the equipment if you mio or Singnet user

Check Singtel exclusive

http://home.singtel.com/hotdeals/
uimmy
I do not hv BB VAS plan. I am on Premium 1500 but will be changing to ithree plan. Signet not under my name so no 30% discount. I guess Plan A will be it :) Thanks
John Teoh
Still can get $100 off and 2 months free using the cheapest one. Only question is if you will use or not.
