lol think no use for your powerful device.. but it works well with the Touch and TyTN II even for 1-handed texting..
lmf2501

E-mailed the developer regarding a bug found and hope to hear from them soon. This is a really cool software. I find it more thumb-friendly than TenGo. On the other hand, I also find the typing to be faster than using PhonePad. The dictionary file is also very easily editable.

I've contacted developer regarding touchpal not working properly with Notes. When using the touchpal directional keys and backspace-whole-word feature in Notes, it leaves squares everywhere. They mentioned that this is a known issue and will try to fix it in future releases. All other software that I test it with works flawlessly. Very Very impressed.
Symphony
Thanks. Cool. Better Than PhonePad?? grin.gif
Must try now....

Nah...the issue only affects the "Notes" application.

Yah...I also have the same thoughts regarding the 2 other software like you. This one just fits so well.

can it be installed on dopod 818???i installed but when i select "touchpad", it showed me letter regconiser...which is my default input method...
lmf2501
Hi scarymovie,

Its Windows Mobile 5/6 compatible therefore should work.

Try to uninstall and reinstall again and make sure you install in your main memory, after completing the installation soft reset and try to check whether it works after your device boots up.

scarymovie
nope...still not working...i installed it to my main memory...i did a soft reboot...after the reboot, i create a new msg...select touchpad as input, it still showed me letter regconiser...wat could be the prob?
scarymovie
ok...can already...i go ms words to change the inout method and it works fine...
lmf2501
Hi scarymoveie,

glad it worked, i still cant get mine haha...

Was about to suggest you try an app call SIPChange which allows you to change your SIP entryto the one you desire however aint needed anymore.

Tried so many keyboards and pads, and I must say this is the friendliest to use and most intelligent at guessing my words.

2 thumbs way up!

for those who can't get TouchPal to work and badly want to try it out, can check out this step-by-step tweak here,
though personally i am not very comfortable with messing with the SIPs' GUIDs..
vicott
And now I'm having problems on my TyTN II. brooding.gif

I've uninstalled it. Now, how to remove TouchPal from the SIP list?
Chemiluminescent
The "space key" moves back to the original position after a soft reset. unsure.gif

Use a registry editor to find "TouchPal". Remove the registry key (folder) that contains the registry value. You must be very careful when doing that though.

Thanks Vicott,

I done accordingly. TouchPal gone instantly. I feel better now.

touchpal is better than phonepad in terms of remembering the custom words after soft reset. i was worried that this free till december sip will be unusable after december, so change the date to after december, still can use :)

Buddies,

Those who has installed this software, please try if it has conflict with spb back up. I heard there is some problems.......

This SIP just keeps getting better and better... v2 is out...
Free version and Pro/paid version available. For me, free version is good enough. :) AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still find the sliding difficult especially the "enter" command. Also difficult is the slide to capitalise command, sometimes when typing fast the letters get capitilised unintentionally.
wid4008
I find the sliding part a bit difficult too.
I will still stick to my PhonePad for one hand input for now.
MasK
I noticed.. if ya gonna slide to the screen edges, then it's difficult. This is best done on flush screen on the touch series.
Other than that, this SIP works as good as it look. Only one problem for me.. I'm just not used to qwerty+finger style.. not that I don't know how to type. I hope they come out with T9 input, similar to the good'ol phonepad, with those touchpal features (sliding for capital and punctuation)
nicepal
thought the Touchpal v2 will propose new words from the dict also when u type? i tried tt. though quite gd. but my D810 also gt prob when typing the keys at the corner... ;> but i install to trial trial.. ;>
