I've been noticing a number of threads on how to hard reset particular Pocket PCs, so the idea of consolidating everything comes to mind. Let me start with some devices. Hope more forumers can help to chip to contribute the steps for devices not listed in this thread.

Asus P525
- Press the joystick UP, Hold, then poke the soft-reset hole

HP iPAQ h19xx
- Press and hold power button and reset button at the same time.

HP/Compaq iPAQ h36xx/37xx/38xx/39xx
- Press and hold leftmost button, rightmost button and reset button at the same time.

HP iPAQ 512/514
- Turn off the phone, press & hold <Call> or <Select>, power on.

HP iPAQ rw68xx
- Press and hold power button and reset button at the same time.

HP iPAQ hw69xx/hw65xx
- Press the 'Call', 'EndCall', 'Power' button and reset button simultaneously.

O2 Xda Atom, Atom Pure, Atom Exec and Atom Life
- Press and hold power button and reset button at the same time.

O2 Xda Zinc
- Press the up button and reset button at the same time.

O2 Xda Stealth
- Keep the stylus on the reset button and press the lower left (Flag), right (OK) button at the same time.

E-TEN M500, M600, G500
- Press and hold power button and reset button at the same time.

Qool Labs QDA Icon
- Press "EndCall" + 1/2 Press "Camera Button" then Press "Call/ON" and hold. (Reference)

Dopod 818 Pro
- Power on the device, and then press and hold the CAM and COMM manager buttons. Whilst doing this, perform a soft reset.

Dopod U1000/HTC Advantage
- Hold the volume slider to down and then insert stylus into the soft reset hole.

Dopod C730
- press 'power', 'left softkey', 'right softkey' simultaneously when the phone is powered down.

Dopod 900 aka HTC Universal aka Xda Exec
- Hold Power + Reset + 2 Soft Keys and Press 0 to erase.

Dopod C800
- Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device. You will be presented with a menu saying 'press R to reset, X to exit', if you press R Your device will be set back to factory default settings.

HTC Touch
- Press the Green and Red Buttons (the Call and End Call buttons), then poke the soft-reset hole

HTC Touch Pro
- With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see the message prompt.

LG KS20
- Switch off the device (press & hold power button). Press & hold on to the Call button & the volume down button, followed by the power button and hold for about 10 seconds.

Palm Treo 750v
- Press & hold on to the "End Call" button & the soft reset button (found beside the miniSD card slot when you open the slot cover).

Motorola Q9h
- Turn off, then hold down key E and Z. Press the 'Power on' (the End-call) Button.

iPAQ HW6965/HW6515 - press the 'Call', 'EndCall', 'Power' button and reset button simultaneously

DOPOD C730 - power down, then power up while holding/pressing on the two softkey button. (not sure if this is the sequence, I try and error so forget the actual sequence. There appear to be option to hard-reset from setting menu too)

No worries zenkinz, post you find here when you confirmed the correct hard reset procedure for the Dopod C730, thanks for your contribution bro.

ok confirm that it's press 'power', 'left softkey', 'right softkey' simultaneously when the phone is powered down. You may also do it via software method. 'Start > Settings > Clear Storage'

saw this in the iPAQ 500 thread.

For hard reset, turn off the phone, press & hold <Call> or <Select>, power on. Hard reset to different level, but very minor differences.

For HTC TyTN II, it's:
1) Press both softkeys and soft reset button
2) Hold softkeys until reset screen comes up

for the Zinc one.

O2 Xda Zinc
- Press the up button and reset button at the same time.

above is correct but following that, press the left softkey followed by green call button. Not left softkey twice.

The 2 hard keys that are mapped to softkeys.

for Motorola Q9h,

Turn off Q9h, then hold down key E and Z, press the 'Power on' (the End-call) Button.

How abt HTC diamond ??? Any idea how to hard reset it?

Hard reset i780
1. Turn off the device
2. Press and hold the green phone and red phone buttons
3. While holding buttons from pt 2 press the power button until you see the LED flash red
4. Release the power button, while still holding the buttons from pt 2
5. You will see the following screen:

1. Format and Reboot
Press space

2. Skip
Press any other keys

My prophet is dead...
I try to upgrade my prophet to WM6...work sucessfull
When i try install MORANGE in my prophet its error (hang)..so i try to reset.
After i push the reset button my prophet is dead...i can't do anything.
I try hard reset is still not working...i try to plug in charger -> RED LED indicator not show.
It really..really DEAD PROPHET...

Please help me with my prophet.
It still dead until now.. .
