yes. it is possible now.
not sure if i am late?
our PPC can now goto www.youtube.com, the real full website, and click on the video u wan to see.. and it will start to play immediately..
no other actions required.. (no need download flv file, convert to ppc readable format, put inside your ppc again, etc anymore..)
requirement: install TCPMP and
flashvideobundle.cab(some genius work)
Just make sure TCPMP is reinstalled can already.. (as most of us have it.. suppose..)
works on PIE only.. :)
i have tried it myself, it works... so share with u guys
so shiok.. as TCPMP can play straightaway in fullscreen mode.. so when u press the link on your PIE, the video will start in fullsceen~ cool...
forget m.youtube.com (selective videos and downgraded quality..)

For all you Tube-aholics, this is it! You now have direct, unfettered access to Youtube, Google Video & Veoh, in all their glory. Install the CABs listed below, go directly to these websites, and click on a video to play. That's it
If you follow the instructions exactly and use the preconfigured TCPMP settings, you should be able to play videos smoothly if your network connection is adequate.
Installation instructions:
1) If you already have a version of TCPMP installed, uninstall it now.
2) Install tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab: link here
3) Install FlashVideoBundle.CAB attached below (this MUST be installed in the same location as TCPMP)
4) Soft-reset
Supported sites:
www.youtube.com
video.google.com
www.veoh.com
www.mobetube.com
Caveats:
Requires pocket IE. This plugin will not work with Opera, NetFront, Picsel, etc. However, it is compatible with PiePlus.
Tips:
- Use MobileLeap or Skweezer to compress the content. These video sites use a lot of still video images which are a lot of content to download. I've found the following method works well for me. Goto www.skweezer.net, click settings, turn paging to "Off" and Save. Now try these links from your phone...
Youtube
http://www.skweezer.net/s.aspx?q=www.youtube.com
Google Video
http://www.skweezer.net/s.aspx/-/vid...m/videoranking
Veoh
http://www.skweezer.net/s.aspx/-/www...~html?order=tr
Mobetube
http://www.mobetube.com
- Try XCPU Scalar, it helps.
- If your video is scrambled, change the video driver setting from "Raw Framebuffer" to "DirectDraw."
- Google video is a mess, IMHO. They mix links to Youtube, Google and even AOL and they continue to index lots of videos that have been removed. In addition, the complexity of their javascript/flash code make it a bear to deal with. If you are using it, I'd recommend skipping their main page and going to their "Top 100" page instead.
- Veoh videos tend to be higher quality than youtube, so it requires a fast connection.
- When clicking on a video image or title, be patient rather than repeatedly clicking it. It takes a little time to load up TCPMP, especially the first time.
- The FlashVideoBundle will work with TCPMP .81Beta, however I wouldn't recommend it. At least on my 700wx, I've noticed that playback seems to be much slower, especially with higher quality videos.
- If you want to disable the pocket IE plugin, first exit IE and then run "DisableVL.exe" in your TCPMP install directory. To enable it again, run "EnableVL.exe"
Finally...
I can add support for other sites in the future. I had originally put in support for myspace.com as well, but unfortunately the current FLV codec cannot deal with that video content, it must be a newer version.
Special thanks go out to Fabio for making the streaming mods to the FLV plugin. If you need a good video search site that is mobile-friendly, please visit his site, www.mobytube.net
Cheers!
Z.

Hello, I am new to this forum and new to PPC world.
I tried to follow posted here instructions on how to install TCPMP and patch for the YouTube. However, I still get error messages if I go and try pull video file directly from youtube.
The error message sais something like this:
"Error: The file: 'rtsp://rtsp.youtube.com/... cannot be opene. Ether it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persist, try reinstalling or restoring this file.'"
When I go to
http://www.skweezer.net/s.aspx?q=www.youtube.com site I don't have problems watching flashfiles, however, the sait is a bit different layout and makes me wonder why I cannot watch the same videos directly from youtube.
Thanks.

Although only "FlashVideoBundle.CAB" have changes.
But u must uninstall both the "FlashVideoBundle.CAB" and "tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab".
I have tried uninstall both and reinstall the original "tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab" with this new "FlashVideoBundle.CAB". It works.
However if u just uninstall the "FlashVideoBundle.CAB" and reinstall with the new one, it wouldnt work.

You need to go to the settings of your TCPMP and in the file association choose all extensions there. That should help.

Hi song911 and fkfs9,
What browser did you guys use? This only works on the default PIE if I not mistaken.
If you guys are using the default PIE, then try this and see if it works for you.
1. Uninstall the files that you have previously install. Then do a soft reset.
2. Redownload the
TCPMP 0.72 RC1 here. Then install it to your device/storage card.
3. Download the
TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2.zip here. Then unzip
TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2.zip. You should see
flvffmpeg.plg and
flvsplitter.plg. Copy these 2 files in your TCPMP folder in your device or storage card depends on which location you install your TCPMP Player.
4. Download the
flashvideobundle.cab here and transfer it to your device via activesync then install the cab file from your device.
This should do the trick. After which, ensure you have a internet connection. Then activate your PIE. Go to www.youtube.com.
Then select "View Desktop Version". Your PIE will bring you to the desktop page. From there, select any video can tap on it. Your TCPMP Player will be activated to watch the video accordingly.
Hope this help. (",)

I suppose you have choose to install it to your device memory. If that's the case, then you should copy the files into your

If u install properly, it should work, both programs must be in the same folder, it can be in either the device memory or storage card. Remember to soft reset before and after installation.
