This might be the most newbie question you guys might ever heard but.... its a problem to me...

I have already installed ZTA4 on my Omnia and of course the SunGlobe recommended by you guys... But... when i go into my sms... i still can't select the SIP for ZTA4... even after installing the Windows CE SIP utility to select... i still don't get to select the SIP at all.... I'm sure i've already install becoz i can go into the ZTA4 Manager... is there any setting that i have to do within the Manager? i really nid help...

Oh i think i managed to solve the problem.
For those who got the same problem with me... this is what i did:

1) Uninstall the ZTA4, soft reset.
2) Install the programme, soft reset.
3) TaDA! Its working! haha.

u don't need to install sunglobe...
that is for devices w/o chinese font.. omnia preinstalled chinese fonts

wat u need is just sip

i've installed zta4 and sunglobe and wince.nls to my winmo6.1 device, i can read chinese in sms and website.. but when sending chinese sms to myself or a nokia phone, the text is received as question marks..

any idea how to fix this?

I've managed to install both ZTA4 (2.045 version of VGA) and sunglobe to my newly purchased HP IPAQ 612 without much problem. I had the little problem of not being able to see everything within the box (sounds silly but i found the problem).

It was due to the "Pi Fu" (aka Skin Colour in direct translation) icon to the top right after selecting menu. It gives 2 options - WM6 or white.

With "WM6" option being selected....i totally can't see the 9 boxes of "choices" to key in but the left vertical row of commands are visible.

When i select "White" option, all the 9 buttons suddenly makes sense! i.e. i managed to get some chinese words inputted! However, the vertical bar to the left becomes "haywiring"....meaning it's not there but there's something to "click/touch" on...

Seems that my it's having errors. Can i ask where did i go wrong? Am i suppose to download the QVGA version?

Yes have to, transfer the whole CAB file after you have unzipped the file and then transfer to your device and tap and install to your main memory, soft reset...

I was wondering... the HW chinese software that I had installed earlier... before my hard reset. The square characters that appear as chinese fonts cannot be display, would this sunglode.cab help solve the problem or should I download the font that I read in one of the post that you advice someone to download for another program? Unfortunately, I am not able to find that post nor link again if that is the one to download.

Have done it... after installatiing the sunglobe.cab, the HW pen is working! Finally, I may read Chinese characters on my PDA phone....

Only question is... after installing Sunglobe on the PDA, a message appear to say that it might not work on my version of WM, however, it works. I trust there is not much that I need to worry about, right? btw, I am using WM6.

i got funny situation here:

1) CAN read sms, web page, file name in chs character

2) CAN'T send or forward out chs sms, WMP, TCPMP and S2P all cant recognizer chs character folder and file name.

I have sunglobe.cab installed on my PPC, ASUS P750.

HW chinese software works, however... ZTA4 does not work, as chinese characters cannot be seen, only square boxes.

Any guide on solving this?

Might be software conflict, you might wanna uninstall the HW software and monitor...

I have tried that too, removing the HW software. Still not able to view chinese character on ZTA4 with Sunglobe.cab installed.

The worse thing was... removing HW software, my PDA touch screen will not work and I have to hard reset it for it to work again.

For Touch Pro, do I use the QWERTY version or Touch Screen version?

And any difference between installing fontpatch and sunglobe?

Oh, found the answer, or at least to my 2nd question. So they're basically the same? Saw a sunglobe in the fontpatch.cab file, but fontpatch contains more files than sunglobe. Wonder if that means fontpatch can recognize more words or something.

i'm a totally newbie in in using pda phone.. i just gt a second hand rw6828.. I have installed the zta4_qvga.. the chinese characters are in box.. so i downloaded the sunglobe.cab given by starch.. and i try to install the sunglobe.cab but system shown unsuccessful..

i made a silly mistake.. haha.. duno hw cme i extracted the file.. its turns out to be only 391bytes.. >.< so i re-dl it again and now its works like a charm~ though i haven try it out on internet explorer.. thanks so much for all your helps and tips~

Hmm.... installed sunglobe.cab onto my Touch Pro and done a soft rest. The chinese words ain't 'transparent' anymore, but well, now appear as weird characters. Something I forgot to set? Or sunglobe ain't compatible with my Touch Pro?

You might wanna try the Touch screen version coz the QWERTY version has not been updated for quite sometime if i have read correctly from the website...

Please provide more details on how you are unable to do so. After you've downloaded the .rar file, extract it and you will find a .cab file. Do not extract this file. Copy this .cab file to your phone and run the file from the phone.

I D/L the file then un-zip the file into a folder, then i saw the cab file. I sync my phone wif my XP SP3 PC, was trying to transfer the cab file to my phone for installation from the phone but the problem occur, the cab was unable to transfer to my phone.

Its strange.

Unless someone is able to transform the cab file into a exe so that i can install from my PC.

If you have a card reader that is an alternative way to transfer also to your memory card first then execute to launch when u return it to your device...

Finally I tried out the Sunglobe cab instead of CE-Star. It works. But I find the font not that nice. Any chance of putting in more font type (chinese) which is nicer?

I installed ZTA4 on my HTC Mogul and Touch Pro. I have same problem. After I installed the ZTA4, I could not access to the storage card anymore. After I deinstall the ZTA4, I can see the storage card again.

How do I fix this?

I can read chinese by adding the chinese font, I really want to make my phone to be able to write chinese. But CE-STAR does not work on my Touch Pro. And ZTA4 interference with storage card!

Any other choices?

I had the same problem as user xtre.

I had download the ZTA4 onto my laptop and unzip the .rar file.

After finding the .CAB, I try to copy into my Mwg Zinc II storage card, but it does not appear as .CAB file.

I try to insert the storage card to my phone device and look for the file transfer and it does not appear as .CAB and therefore when I click it, it does not work..

Are you saying by cuting the .rar file into my micrSD card and then input into my phone device and do the installation.

However, I can open the file .rar at my phone device.

I had try to unzip till I find the .CAB file on my laptop but unable to transfer the .CAB to my phone device.

Pls advise your steps.
