Right after opening their first service center in Taiwan, HTC opens their second in Singapore bearing the name "HTC Care". A third one will open in Hong Kong next week. HTC and Dopod customers can now choose to bring their devices either to SIS or HTC Care in Keppel Bay Tower (next to Harbour Front Tower Two), which are providing their services independently, for servicing needs. While your device is being sent to HTC Care for servicing, you can even loan a backup device from them.

Hmmm.... Think i will choose to go to this if i ever need to send my set in especially i can get a loan set. w00t.gif

I really wonder will SiS tech pull up their socks or will they just carry on live day to day....

THink if they ever choose to live day to day, there's very high possibility that everyone will go to HTC. And that will definately result the SiS existence to be redundant.

If that day do happen, will I believe SiS will be terminated by HTC.

SIS should be TERMINATED. Period. w00t.gif

Can't agree more :D

A loan phone brings their service standards to a higher level. Right move!

Just thought I'd share the HTC Svc Ctr here:

It's not ready just yet. The HTC staff are not as well-versed as I thought. They do not seem to know the products. The Svc Ctr provides only hardware support. All software issues will still need to be reported to Taiwan......And, the SVC Ctr is SO SMALL!!!!! tongue.gif

Well, give them some time and don't anyone have any expectations just yet.

Anyway, SIS being their distributor cannot be 'terminated' one lah.

Could you please tell me what you mean by "backup device"? Do you mean a loan phone PDA, or do you mean a memory or SIM back up device?

They will loan you a Pocket PC Phone while your device is still in service center.

Hi all,

I have sent my 838p to hTC care last Friday and when I asked for the replacement phone, I was told that only if your device needs more than 5 days to repair then they will give it to you. If not, they will not loan you the replacement phone.

And in their website, they mentioned all repairs should be done within 5 days, so if they can keep to that promise, we will not see any replacement phone from them. :)
