According to Digitimes an agreement has been signed between Taiwan-based own-brand handset vendor E-Ten Information Systems and ODM handset maker Arima Communications to develope EMP (Ericsson Mobile Platform)-based 3G and 3.5G smartphones, with the X800 being their first collabration.

E-Ten plans to introduce four new smartphones before the end of 2007 and will outsource the production of 3G and 3.5G models to Arima while continuing to outsource 2G models to Quanta Computer. Another Flame kinda phone in the making maybe? grin.gif
