HTC has finally announced the availability of the much anticipated OS upgrade for the selected Dopod devices. From today and for the span of one week, the upgrades will be released for each device on separate days, starting with Dopod D810. Other devices getting the free upgrade include Dopod 838 Pro, U1000 and P800w.

I guess O2 is going to lose alot of ground to HTC after all the good effort being done on dopod..

Unlike O2, the only provide 1 Atom Life for WM6 upgrade... and most of their phone have only 1 patch upgrade.. nothing else

Noticed that Caution No. 9 states that once upgraded to WM6, we can't downgrade to WM5. I'm wondering if the speed would be affected.

Wonder if flashing with the previous WM5 ROM is possible after the upgrade..........

Can't find the upgrade in dopod website.

Website says that upgrade for Dopod 838 Pro available from today, 9th July....not so! Just called customer service and they have no idea when it will be up for download.

The website has been taken down. Seems like it is being delayed :D

I have to correct you on that. WM6 Upgrade is available for O2 Zinc as well.

This is so sad.

I still don't see any sign of the updates for the 838 pro.

Dopod helpdesk confirms the WM6 upgrade available only from mid-July. To check DopodAsia website then to see...

I don't think so, that's why I'm worried about the lag which WM6 may cause to the D810 and being stuck with it because cannot go back to WM5.

Now they change the dates to 10 ,12 ,13 and 20 Jul. U1000 users have to wait another 10 days.

Everybody is trying to download it so it will be slow. Can't be help.

going to upgrade to wm6 after I purchase the atom life and swap with my wife's d810.

Just checked, 838 pro upgrade still not up. Will try when the clock strikes 12 midnight
