Yah. Better not change the registry. I tried on my Eten M600 before, had to hard reset.

I'm using it and I have no problem with it. Question though, what is that apple key for? doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

One tip: hitting del key twice will erase all and clear the screen. A cool feature that could also be dangerous if you type a long sms then mistakenly tap del twice.

Hi,

Follow this following instruction:
1. Install happytapping keyboard cab file to your device NOT to storage
2. Extract the skin files to your device folder (e.g. \my documents). There should be 2 of them (xxxx_QVGA_L & xxxx_QVGA_P) L=Landscape, P = Portrait
3. Go to the "Option" in happytapping (Start / Settings / Input)
4. Select the folder where the skin files are located
5. Try it, if doesn't work Soft Reset
6. Enjoy!

After you did your edits did you power off your device for a while before you soft reset? This is to flush the it to the ROM portion of your device.

If you tap on the arrow next to the keyboard, it should give you "option". Is it listed there? Did you make sure you install it to your device, not storage card?

You can also access it from start / settings / Input and select happytapping from the drop down list.

Even if you don't specify location the .bmp file, it should still have the happytapping keyboard with its plain skin.

Just realised that the fullstop "." is placed in the Alpha mode and is missing from the numbers mode. kindof troublesome when need to key in decimal points. Anyeay to remap the keys?

I have installed this on my Touch. Its really very nice. But is there a way to set default SIP in WM6. I have tried some application that does that, they seems to only work for WM5. Not sure now if its Touch or WM6 issue...

You probably need IMSelector Program. I don't have it because it works for me. steventan63 has managed to download the program, you probably can ask him to send you the file or ask him to post it here.

No one can help me to get Happy Tapping working in my D810? I have IMSelector installed and done all the steps mentioned. Still cannot work at all....

seems like afew d810 user cant make it work..
mine cant work either.. when i click at happytapping the default keyboard appears..

Mine on HP 6828 works flawlessly.

I did not encounter any problem while installing the happytap.

First I placed the 2 files (iphone_modoki_QVGA_L.bmp & iphone_modoki_QVGA_P.bmp) in My Documents\htc_skin_iphone_modoki

Then from the Settings > Input > HappyTap > Options,

I selected iphone_modoki_QVGA_P.bmp for the potrait mode
&
iphone_modoki_QVGA_L.bmp for the landscapre mode

No softreset is needed and when I brought up the HappyTap keyboard, the skin has been changed to the iphone's

If by doing these and you are still not able to get the skin working, you might wanna try reinstalling the HappyTap keyboard.

i reinstall but still cant find My Documents\htc_skin_iphone_modoki. however i copy and paste the two iphone skins to my documents and select the skin accordingly. however is it possible to set it as a default whenever i wishes to create new sms and reply sms as it seems everywhere i tried to do so, i always get the default keypad.

I'm starting to think that this program isn't compatible with some PPC. But it's good to try to have the skin inside My Documents and try it that way.
Also, I use :
iphone_modoki_QVGA_P.bmp for the potrait mode
iphone_modoki_QVGA_L.bmp for the landscape mode

If you want to make it as default. I believe you have to have a software called IMSelector. PM me if you want me to send it to you.

Don't use SKTools because some people have to do a hard reset if they use SKTools to make happytapping as default.

For those who has made it, check out the zip file attached. It contains a better skin for happytapping. It's bigger and better...

i love big keyboards..

Frankly, the happy tapping keyboard is not that big. It is still quite hard to tap and very cramp for the fingers.
