what sort of gathering is this? "a gathering for all members" and is limited to 40/50 pax? a little weird right? do you mean to say that ppcsg has only 40 or 50 members? the heading should have some clarity.

For your info, this gathering is up to members to decide if they want to attend or not. MS Singapore is kind to let us use their meeting room after office hour and there is a limit as to how many members can enter the meeting room. We have to consider that we should also not create too much inconvenience to MS Singapore. Experience shows that there is always a lot of MIA on the actual day. Moreover, what's the point of having a big group and then all just go home at the end of the gathering?

i re-emphasize "ALL"...if 40 or 50 is all of ppcsg, then it is pathetic...

thanks for your precious information...if i have decided (as you have put it) to go and there are no more seats, then isn't it very "sincere" of ppcsg to offer such a "big" gathering opportunity.

btw, if you have any suggested "eca" after the gatherings, please voice out. but i'm afraid that you are not up for it. sneaky.gif

Thank you ter_03_80 and John Teoh for standing up PPCSG, appreciate you efforts to explain to member tvirus who don't quite comprehend what our boss cheewee is trying to put across. The gathering is meant for the family here to have a get together and exchange ideas n maybe make a few friends while getting face to face updates from our guest speakers who took precious time off from their hectic schedule to attend out little gathering, however if he chooses to post such comments then its up to him, one's word reflects greatly on his/her own personality and character, once again a sincere Thanks to ter_03_80 and John Teoh.

Hi tvirus,
Thanks for your enthusiasm. However, with any events, we need to set aside a number for the attendees. PPCSG has to date 31,374 registered members and it is impossible to have a gathering that caters to all. If you are nitpicking at the word, “all” that is used in my first post, I offer my sincere apologies. However, it probably wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know that it’s possible to pull that off. We have since increased attendee numbers from 40 to 50 and now 60 due to the great response. Unfortunately, the venue that Microsoft offered is a 60-seater so we have to close registration.

Regards,
cheewee

hi tvirus, if u would take a bit of time to go to the chat zone, we do organize gathering for ppcsgers BUT unfortunately, the turn out does not even hit to more than 20. for those outings, we do not have limited seatings SO if you are keen, you can also join in. we will welcome you at any point of time and the next one would be on 13th july 2007. so if you are really very keen and sincere abt joining, the outings, u can make it for that one, if you should miss out the MS gathering.

please do understand than for this gathering, like wat ther others have said, there are only limited seats and we should be glad that MS is loaning us the venue, therefore, they cannot cause too much inconveniences to MS as well.

if you are interested, you could have Just signed up earlier grin.gif

*peace out.
tvirus

Zerocool2311

Thank you cheewee and your team for organising the presentation. it was informative but short. would preferred less items and more time allocated to each item as it was the presenters from Microsoft had to rush through their topics. Had hoped for more in-depth coverage of WM6, the OS, as opposed to WM6 “mails/exchange”. Nevertheless, thank you very much.

Thanks cheewee and team members for taking your time and effort to organize the event. Hope we could have another opportunity in the future for another event.
Well Done!
cheewee

Thanks for the kind words. Wrote a short blurb of the event. See http://www.ppcsg.com/http://www.ppcsg.com/index.php?showtopic=91913
