Now u can play .flv files without the hassle of converting it, all you need is to download a plugin for the TCPMP player HERE in order to do so. Only applicable for devices running on Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher. grin.gif

This is a major major breakthrough for MS Mobile PPC/Phones. You can now watch any Youtube video right on your device wirelessly without need to connect & transfer from a Desktop PC or Notebook. Thank you everybody.

You can use it on WM2003SE. Been there done that....jolly good! Tested on XDA2s.
Hogster
i have installed the player & downloaded the plugin, how to i go abt installing the plugin?
lmf2501
Hi Hogster,

look for 2 files after you download the zip files, namely flvffmpeg and flvsplitter, transfer to your TCPMP folder in your device and there you go, you can now play flv. format files in your device.

for the TCPMP player u should have downloaded a CAB file, transfer to your device via Activesync and execute the CAB file from the location, it will auto install then.

My file type don't have AAC files (AAC) & AVC Elementary Stream (H264), does it matters?? If yes, what should I do??

Do I still have to d/l & save the file before I can play it or it will just stream as per normal?? Thanx.

You will require the 2 files which is flvffmpeg and flvsplitter that u downloaded and just place it in the TCPMP folder in your device.

You have to download and save the flv. format file n transfer it into your device to play it.

How to download and play the *.flv files from youtube ? care to share how to get it work . thanks
lmf2501
1)download TCPMP player from http://tcpmp.en.softonic.com/pocket

2)install the player in your device by transferring the whole CAB file you have downloaded to your device and execute to launch installation from the location you have transferred to, be it storage card/main memory

3)download the plugin from HERE, click on the TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2.zip, you should download a ZIP file with flvffmpeg.plg and flvsplitter.plg, place those 2 in your TCPMP folder in your device.

4)go to http://keepvid.com/ and paste the Youtube URL to download the flv file, after which you transfer the file to your device and play with your TCPMP player.

Hi,
Just installed
- tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab and
- TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2.CAB

Unfortunately, still can't play the flv file. Did I missed a step?
Appreciate your help.

thanks

This app has a flaw, tho - if you pause the vid midway and exit TCPMP, TCPMP will take longer to initialize depending on how far you are into the vid. It's pretty much tolerable otherwise.

How do I configure TCPMP to not continue from a certain point?

Problem solved. Copied these two files flvffmpeg.plg and flvsplitter.plg
to the TCPMP folder.

This is because TCMP player and the flash files are installed at different locations. Try to install both onto phone memory.

If both installed on phone memory it speeds up the video playback!

I follow the steps here, but cannot see any TCPMP installed on my PPC.
Here is what I have done.

1. download the PPC version.
2. Copy the download file into my storage care under folder name TCPMP
3. download the FlashVideoBundle.CAB
4. copy all the file to the same location under folder name TCPMP
5. soft re-set
6.Go to start menu -->Program-->

There is no TCPMP player install.

Can anyone help.

I want to use the TCPMP player to play some movie clip file. My PPC window player only able to play Video file but not movie clip file.
