HTC (High Tech Computer Corporation) recently announced the acquisition of Dopod International. After the acquisition, all future Dopod products will be marketed under the HTC global brand. How will this affect current Dopod users? According to HTC CEO & President, Peter Chou during the press conference today in Singapore at the Four Seasons Hotel, he quoted "HTC will continue to support Dopod branded products". That is good news for current Dopod users and for those intending to purchase a Dopod product.

It will be a good news if the after-sale service can "catch up". If not, it will be the same old stuff Dopod owners have to suffer.

this move by HTC makes sense but as others have metioned they need to improve customer service and support.

Wonder if there's any impact on the free WM6 upgrade Dopod was offering...

HTC also Taiwanese, like Dopod, so not pinning high hopes on improvement in CS..
