PPCSG > GPRS connection on rw6828

Hi All,

I just got my 6828 today.I have a question that may need you guys to help me solve...

I am able to connect to the internet using the built in wifi while i have already stop the GPRS connection by clicking on Start, Settings, Connections, Connections, Advanced, Select Network and you will come to Network Management and on "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should be connect using", select "My Network"

but when i try to connect it wap.xxx.com(example) ,it will connect automatically
using GPRS.(message is Starhub GPRS WAP)

Pls help

When I try to connect to wap.xxx.com using active-sync(Wifi-Off)(GPRS off).

I was prompt this message.

"The current connection cannot be used for your request.Please end the current connection and try again"

Pls Help

check

start->setting->connections->connections->setup my proxy server.

see if you have defined any proxy. that is one of the cause of not being able to connect.

you might also wanna switch the usb connection to use the slower connection speed. see if that will work for you. it worked on mine.

i don't like the idea of turning "share internet connection" in order to get browsing internet using activesync to work. which is another way to get around.

Is it possible to view WAP pages in Pocket IE via WIFI instead of GPRS?
I'm always prompt to connect to GPRS when access WAP site via WIFI.
