Hi, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section - forum newbie here.

Anyway this is something that's been bugging me for a while, tried doing a search on forums but couldn't find anything.

Is there a software or method to send sms via a connected PPC phone (I'm using a ETEN PDA phone running WM5 currently) from a desktop or laptop PC? I know I've seen someone doing it before but for the life of me I can't figure out how. The PPC Phone can be connected via sync cable or BT connection...

Thanks!

or if you already have an outlook, you just need to buy their (Jeyo)'s outlook plug in so that you can send text from your desktop's outlook. the advantage of this is that you can save a copy of SMS in your desktop (I configure the sms PST to be in the same mail data folder so that I can archive my desktop's mail/sms together). Never worried about lost sms, be it due to hard-reset of my mobile device or my desktop re-format.

I second the jeyo plugin, its so simple to use.

The SMS PST file is not stored together with your Outlook PST, it's under the name of JME_English_2003.pst, under the Jeyo installed directory.

I have tried copy the PST file to the same directory which I store all my other emails' PSTs, and Jeyo stop to function.

It was working perfect when I used my O2 Mini, but now when I switched to Treo 750v, it doesn't work anymore.. :( Anyone know of any resolution?

of course it's not stored together with any of the existing outlook PST. the jeyo pst file is also by default, stored in jeyo directory. you can move it to your data/mail folder by doing the following;

1. first, close the jeyo pst folder from your outlook (right click on the folder, chose close)
2. move the jeyo pst from jeyo directory to your mail folder
3. rename the jeyo pst if you like (optional)
4. go to your outlook, and open jeyo pst file ( file > open > outlook data file) that you have moved earlier

viola ....

because treo stores all the SMS in a separate database due to its threaded sms software. there's nothing you can do other than dump your treo ... grin.gif

If I purchase the software and install in my house and if i want to install it in the office as well, do I have to use the installer i downloaded from my hse and install in the office or can i just download another installer file from the jeyo site? Can i register using the same product code?
