What is ACiD Sync?
ACiD Sync is a file synchronization utility designed to work with devices dubbed by Microsoft® as Smart Devices. These devices include Pocket PC's, Smartphones, some Treo mobile phones and the new Motorola Q series. ACiD Sync enables the ability to synchronize files stored in a "My ACiD Sync" folder on the Desktop PC with a corresponding "My ACiD Sync" folder on an external memory card of a Smart Device─a capability sorely lacking with Microsoft's® own ActiveSync® desktop synchronization utility. ACiD Sync has been developed using C++ object-oriented code and native C routines to form its file synchronization capability. We have not taken shortcuts ─ we do not use "Shell32" API calls for file-transfers. Our #1 goal for ACiD Sync has always been reliability. From the get-go we've wanted control and ownership over each and every byte read or written during the synchronization process. We did not take the simple and "easy way" out.
