I have something very important to ask: Is the registry file supposed to be executed on the PPC or on my notebook?

I'm asking this because I executed it on my notebook. Nothing terrible happened and I'm still unable to surf the internet.

I read the comments posted by the forumers in the weblink and the impression is that I need to execute the registry on my PPC. And if that is really the case, can any kind soul out there tell me if there is this registry in our PC/ Notebook?:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
"AllowLSP"=dword:00000000

If there isn't I'm going to delete it from my notebook... thanks a million!

Hi,

I still cannot connect to the internet via USB connection. Is there any settings that I need to take note of? I can currently sync with my notebook book without any problem, just the internet portion. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks...

Tried uninstalling 4.2, reinstall 4.1 - doesn't work. Tried the latest 4.5 beta... same same.

I just changed notebook. Last time when I'm using Dell, can work perfectly with 4.1 and 4.2. After changing to IBM, this problem happened. WHY????? TELL ME WHY!!!!!!!! sowwy.gif whistle.gif

do you have any firewall running?

Yes... Zonealarm. But I can sync withoiut any issue, so I ruled that out as a possiblilty. Anyhow, I tested without Zonealarm, doesn't work. Strange huh?...

Guess it's just your office's firewall that's blocking the Internet connection.

hi we5ley,

in WM5.0 devices, the Restore/Backup option for Activesync is being removed...the only way to do a backup and restore is to use 3rd party programs like Sprite Backup, Spb Backup or Sunnysoft Backup Manager...

Riv, I am using SBP BACKUP, how can I back up to my PC?
Manually copy the file over using card reader?
