i think batterystatus requires the today plugin. i verified this in SKtools System Information. The CPU speed is now reflected as 195 when the plugin is disabled.
mpenza (hope you can verify this), probably had inserted the notifications for wakeup with omapclock @ xxx MHz, inserted manually then.
If you wanna overclock without the today plugin, you can with omapclock.exe where you'll need to manually put a link in windows\startup as well as create a notification if you want it to wakeup to the speed of choice.
A disadvantage previously with wm5 was that you did have to wait for 15 sec between on/offs (for device to register a "wakeup") for omapclock.exe to kick in.

That's right, other function like the Auto Lock upon Standby is also disabled when you do not enable the today plugin.

contary to what i said two posts earlier, was horsing around and found out that you can get overclocking with batterystatus without showing the plugin.
After setting your overclock speed,
Goto "\settings\today\items
2. Leave the box checked for battery status.
3. With batterystatus highlighted, select the options tab to the right.
4. On the first page of options there is a "Show Plugin" option. Uncheck this box and battstat will overclock, but not display on the today screen.

There's a new build, 245 that's added the following:
- changed: monitor sd-card with notifications instead of polling, better for battery
- changed: monitor filesystem with notifications instead of polling, better for battery
- added: digit-clock support, an example and default-theme by Nostramo for clock will be published soon...
- added: class="date"

Hi Guys,
I am interested to overclock my dopod810. I have installed the batterystatus v1.04.203beta4 on my dopod810 but there do not seem to have any where that i can clock above the 400MHz default.
Appreciate if anyone can advise.
Thanks!

The overclocking on batterystatus is only for TI-omaps and not other processors.
That;s why the developer of the app has created a safety feature so that you can't access the overclocking tabs and mistakenly overclock.

overclocking is very processor(individual) specific, mostly due to more impurities found in yours over your brothers.
There's nothing you can do, unfortunately, except to get another touch and test (if allowed) before buying?

oh is that it. thought the quality shld be all the same as like computer processor overclocking.
Anyway thanks.
P/S: my wife's touch enhanced also no problem overclocking to more then 234 ... guess me the unlucky fellow.

No worries bro,
God is fair, you're hansom, and your brother clocks faster
everything balances :)
