Great! Managed to get my work pop3 emails to be aggregated and pushed to my 6818 every hour for free...There are 3 options for the aggregation and push. I chose not to delete from my pop3 service server so that I can still read them in the office also.

Thanks to AKU2 and Microsoft's mail2web push service....great job!! Btw I cannot get my Hotmails to aggregated...wonder why? My pop3 was okay.
QUOTE
For the sole purpose of simplifying the customer experience, mail2web.com provides an email aggregation feature that allows you to automatically collect email from other POP3 and/or IMAP email accounts hosted elsewhere and consolidate it all into one mailbox. When enabled, all aggregated email will be delivered automatically to your mail2web.com Exchange account once every hour. Note, all replies made via your mail2web.com Exchange account to any email delivered to your mail2web.com Exchange account will be addressed as coming ‘from’ your mail2web.com Exchange account, not the address the email was originally sent to.
We strongly recommend that if your other email provider provides email forwarding that you enable that feature instead of using this feature, as it is intended to be used with more restrictive email providers that do not support the email forwarding feature. This service is not intended for use with business or other mission critical email accounts.
All email, including email delivered by way of the email aggregation feature described above, received by mail2web.com Exchange will be scanned for SPAM and VIRUSES and will not be delivered to your account if they receive an ‘extremely high’ probability rating that they are SPAM or contain a VIRUS. Any email deemed ‘extremely high’ will be deleted from our system before it is delivered to your mailbox. mail2web.com reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine what an ‘extremely high’ probability rating means.
mail2web.com provides this feature “as is” without any form of guarantee that email will not be lost regardless of reason. Any use of this feature is done solely at your own risk and mail2web.com will not be held responsible if said feature fails to meet any of your expectations or causes you any loss.

Just to confirm that mail2web Push mail works with Singtel GPRS connection. Now my new emails get Pushed into my 6818 automatically using GPRS on Singtel like SMSes.

No need special push mail subscriptions or Blackberry device. Wonderful job WM5!

Yep, push email is working fine with my 6828 too.
I used to have multiple email accounts both from work and private. Now it all gets pushed automatically into ONE outlook account to my 6828. How convenient !
btw - it is better to auto forward multiple email accounts to mail2web rather than use the aggregate function in mail2web, coz it is quicker - aggregate only collects once every hour.
Great stuff ! and thanks for the tip !
btw - push email only works via gprs but not wifi ... anyone know why ?

it's most likely by design to maximise battery life as push mail requires persistent connection in order to trigger notification as and when a new mail arrives, and GPRS consumes minimal power as compared to wifi.

No lah. Battery life not much effected one lah. GRS don't suck battery juice like wifi . GPRS cost not sure how much, not yet received my first Singtel bill on it yet. Some people say not much for this as it only incur cost when email pushed in per kb. Of course much set spam filter ON, if not flooded with spam mails will increase cost. You also can set it to low traffic in off peak hour e.g.at night, the GPRS will be offline on its own.

Under Off Peak Period example 6 pm to 6 am ( up to you to set), you can ask the Pushmail MS server to check and push only once in every 2 or 4 hours instead of everytime a new email is received.

Finally got it working again this morning. But only after performing this procedure:-
1. Deleted my Active Sync/ Exchange Server settings in my 6828
2. Perform soft reset
3. Re-enter the SAME Active Sync/ Exchange Server settings to 6828
After that 48 emails were pushed into my 6828 Outlook folder !
Just thought I share in case anyone else run into the same problem.

when you first do the setting, all mails will be downloaded to you anyway. It's still not 'pushed yet' since you requested an initialisation with the exchange server through your setup, and thus mails are sync into your 6828.
If you suspect the push mail is not working, first, check if your activesync and GPRS is running. W/O these 2, pushmail [b]will not]/b] work. Do a soft-reset if necessary so that the the above 2 components will fire up correctly.

wm2003 actually has push mail too, but it relies on SMS/GSM network and isn't as straight forward as wm5.0 implementation of pushmail.
GPRS is not free and it's charged by download bytes. As long as you are on Gee! plan, and you have a push-mail supportable mail provider such as mail2live, you can use push mail

hey guys:
thanks for your information on this thread regarding push email.. I've benefitted greatly!
but I have a few concerns...
1) even when there's no new email on my mail2web account, I notice that my 6828 still would connect with the server and sync.. sometimes as often as every 10 minutes! (and yes, I did set the scheduling to "as items arrive")
2) because of this, I found that my battery life was draining twice as fast.. by the end of the day, my 6828 died.. haha... does anybody have the same problem?
anyone got answers to qn1 and 2?
