Hi All,
Got this off a HK PPC Site. After changing as below, my rw6828 did not exactly fly, but it did get a lot smoother
Step 1
Install PHM Registry Editor
Step 2
Backup Registry PHM Registry Editor→Tools→Backup
Step 3
Start edit Registry
1.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE
Change "limit" "Value data" to 32768
2.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\FATFS
Change "CacheSize" "Value data" to 4096
3.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Filters\fsreplxfilt
Change "ReplStoreCacheSize" "Value data" to 4096
4.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Profiles\MSFlash\FATFS
Change "DataCacheSize" "Value data" to 4096
Change "Flags" "Value data" to 40
Note: Ignore the green section if you cannot find in your registry
After editing, wait for 5 secs, then turn off the PPC.
Wait for another 30 secs, then soft reboot your PPC. It should be smoother then.

Isn't this used as a speed optimizer specifically for the Dopod 818 Pro mentioned by thescum over
HERE?
Well I guess you can still apply it to other devices on WM5 since 818 Pro is running on it too.

Oh.. didn't see that. The website I got from only says its for WM5.

Thanks for the tip Shicyi
Now my 6818 is a bit more zippy and spunky
At least now the lip sync on my TCPMP is perfect !
For the last two weeks or so, I keep thinking why is there a lip sync problem with the TCPMP on the WM5 whereas there isn't on my Mini.
The "boost" really came in handy.
Thanks a lot man !!

yeah.. the above tweaks works well...
especially on older devices which are given the wm5 upgrade.. e.g. hx4700.

Try downloading the CAB file version instead of the Windows Desktop Installer version.

The CAB version is called "Pocket PC 2000 (ARM)" on the download page.

there are also some other posts about overclocking the IMAP processor, the question is "will this damage the processor"?
