AAA = Argentina Argentina Argentina!!!
Ever since Maradona's time, I have not been an avid follower of soccer but this year, the pitch is there and yes, his name still lingers despite his addiction to crack, and it is because of him that I still support the big A.

no other team comes close in terms of flair and skills. their footballers never fail to dazzle and they are not a one man team. the way they play is just magic and i'm sure even non-supporters of Brazil would agree they play a beautiful game.

My favorite team in the World Cup: Brazil
Why:
a) "SQUARE" - sheer genius of Ronaldhino (the smiling orchid), invention of Kaka, Ronaldo, and Adriano.
b) "Bermuda Triangle" - Carlos & Cafu
c) Weakened England squad of the strike force

Brazil for sure... Because they have 5 solid R... Which are Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto carlos and Robinho...

England!
England has one of the strongest squad in history!
With the likes of Rooney (recovery of his right foot), Joe Cole (Terrorise the left flank), Frank Lampard (Midfield General), Steven Gerrard (Tireless Midfielder), Michael Owen (Goal poacher), Peter Couch (Setting up for other players onward goal), John Terry(Good reading of the game), Paul Robinson (Shot-stopper) and David Beckham (Dead ball specialist, rediscovering his form).
Theo Walcott (Virtually unknown which will be used if nothing comes up but known for his speed), Aaron Lennon (Speed Demon + Excellent crosser) would be England's wild card to spice things up.
With Sven going out after this World Cup, McClaren will succeed him which means that the current England squad won't be facing a transitional period as compared to a new coach.
All the way England, don't just stop at the quarter-finals and said that's enough or it's higher than expected.

South Korea !!!!
They represent Asia (us!), with a never-say-die attitude and strong teamwork.
Soccer is a team sport, not an individual game.
It would be most satisfying to see an Asian team like them do well in this World Cup! Despite the odds, they are there to go as far as possible!
Cheers.

ITALY!!
In my heart, they have always been the team i supported at the World Cup since the days of Salvatore Schillaci in the 1990 world cup. I really hope they will win even though they may be weakened through injuries, lost of form to key players and the Juventus scandal.
It will be their tough defence and lots of luck that will get them through. the football purists may feel that they do not deserve to be world champions because at times they play dour defensive football. but hey, one should not support a team only because its on form at the moment or because it has all the best attacking players. One has to play to one's strength to win and for Italy its defence!

My favourite has got to be the oranje army. The inventors of total football. Their world cup win is long overdue and by the looks of things, this could be their year. With marco van basten combining youth and experience, this team looks competent to beat any teams in the world cup.

Brazil anytime for Ronaldo and Ronaldinho
For the dribbling .. and great teamwork..
and not over the air soccer...
THE ORANJE ARMY! HOLLAND!!!!
They are definately a team of talented individuals who perform well in the world cup. It has always been a joy to watch the Dutch team play soccer, and i for one,has been rooting for them since i saw their performance againts the eventual champions Brazil in World Cup US,which they played their hearts out beautifully even tho they lost. They just lost out qualifying in the last WorldCup due to ego strikes of some over-the-hill-loud-mouth-and-useless players, but now they are back with what they had when Cruyff was playing for them...team spirit!!!
I dont care if they did not win the World Cup,i just wanna watch them play the game they way it should have been played, and that is beautifully.
