have you ever wished you can select multiple contacts for deleting, copying, beaming, saving to SIM purposes for WM5.0 devices???

now its possible...just install this CAB HERE in your device...

you see...if we would want to delete several Contacts from the device, or save it to SIM and if you do it from the device, you will find that you can't drag and drop...you can only select one at a time...whereas after you apply the CAB, you are able to select many contacts in one go...

have a try at it...



its a small file...I would recommend you to install it in the main memory instead...

Is it a stand alone program?

I installed it but I can't see the program...I am using D900.

you won't see the program after you installed...the difference is, you can now select multiple contacts from your Contacts list...

Hah...That's a little confusing. "Drag & drop" does not mean multiple selection. "Drag & drop" means you drag one or multiple selection from one place to another, like dragging files from a ZIP to file explorer to extract it to selected folder.

So is it both "drag & drop" and multiple selection support or either one only?

what you need to do is to just tap and hold on your Contacts and then move down the Contacts...by doing this, you will be selecting multiple contacts...previously, you can't do that...

I have donwloaded the prog into my d900 but when i try to copy multiple contact into my sim card it does not work everthought I can highlight multiple contacts. Any advice?

you will need to copy the CAB file to your Pocket PC Phone and then use File Explorer to tap on it and it will auto install...not to click the CAB file in the PC itself...

Installed this and able to multi-select on the contact list.
However, when Adding Recipient in the SMS still can only select one at a time?

If this is not mean to fix the above problem, is there a solution to that?

Errs for my phone (rw6828) when you tap and hold on one contact the menu comes up, thus I cant select multiple contacts using tap and hold drag down. Any idea? Thx

Hi Rivaldo, I am wondering if it is possible to select a particular group of people in my contact list, eg, FAMILY, and send a SMS to members within that group in one go, without having to go through the entire contact list to select the different person one by one. Mant thanks.

I don't think u can do that in wm5. If u r using o2 atom, than they have this o2 sms where u can create sms with contact members in one go instead of one by one selection meaning that after u have selected all contact members, u can just send striaght away before going back to the menu...

i was looking for the same thing. currently, this is what i do as a workaround. i create a message, adding all the contacts i want into this message and save to draft.

everytime i send a message using this draft, i will go to the sent folder, select the message that i just sent and click on "reply to all". then save it back to draft for future use.

pretty troublesome i would agree. i suppose will need a 3rd party sms software to handle this more elegantly.

Re: selection of multiple contacts for WM 5.0 ,I unzipped the CAB files on my PC and copied them into my windows folder on my ATOM EXEC and did a soft reset. NO LUCK. When I click on the CAB files through the file explorer, it says open via an application. Pls help.

Multiple selection of contacts to delete works.
But I can't seem to multiple select, then beam the contact to external device. It seems on only beam the last selected.
Does there any way to do there? Or does the cab require any fix?

I cant install on omnia.

My device tell me, 'Installation of PPCContactsMgvr[1].1.cab was unsuccessful. The installation file is not intemded fpr this version of the device.'
