I am frustruated with the bundled Clearvue pdf viewer in the 4700 ROM. Even when I have installed Adobe 2.0, Clearvue automatically opens when an email pdf attachement is selected. To make things worst, Clearvue cannot open all pdf files. wacko.gif I spent a few nights digging through the registry and finally come out with something that works. The below assumes that you have already installed Adobe 2.0. Here it goes:

1. Copy the key in HKCR/pdffile/shell/open/command
The key should be the string that points to Adobe.

2. Paste the key to HKCR/pdffile/shell/opendoc/command
The key before pasting should be the string that points to Westec Clearvue. Hint: It may be good to copy the original key somewhere before pasting; just in case......you never know.dry.gif

3. Reset.

Adobe should open when pdf files are selected in explorer as well as in mail attachments. I have tested. So far so good. whistle.gif

Let me know if the above works for you. Thanks.

IMPORTANT: Backup first.

You need a registry editor like PHM registry

Once you have downloaded and install, start it up and navigate through those keys mentioned.

Let's keep this topic for Adobe tips.

Maybe you'll have more success if you post the question in the thread below

Unfortunately, there is no such option for 4700. Glad than you can exclude clearvue in your mini.
