Found this topic over at XDA. Might prove to be useful for the wizard owners who like to tweak frequently but always use these specific tweak regardless of what other tweaks they do. Just makes the process easier and less time consuming.

Yes, definitely will come in handy for those who like to do the usual things with their PPC that cause them to have to reapply these setting often. I suppose some here will benefit from it.

Can someone confirm whether I can use this in my atom? will there be a different?

Yes, it should work on most PPC.

You can also take it further and use a CAB file to "rebuild" a customized system from a fresh system within 10 minutes, with all software, plugins, provider settings, profiles, application settings and registry hacks properly configured to your liking.

For example, for the setup I mentioned in the thread on "How do you personalize your mobile phone?" - http://www.ppcsg.com/http://www.ppcsg.com/index.php?showtopic=73622, it is completely setup with a single CAB file.

PS: strange lei, I have been promoting this concept for more than 2 years yet nobody interested, I guess "oversea moon is more round", confused.gif sowwy.gif wacko.gif

hahaha I think it is not that people here do not want to use CAB file to "rebuild" their PPC, I think it is just that they are too lazy to do it......

Well, the whole idea is not for everyone to create the CAB file themselves, not about "boasting" my knowledge, it about generating interest so that something can be work out to help the community.

Pocket PC aren't really user friendly by default, and I'm not contented with current situation that users are recommended with all sort of application but left to do the hard work themselves.

I'm hoping to gather information from users about how they want their device to behave throught personalization, and to get experts to corporate to built and maintain packages so that users can just choose pre-built and well tested setup to start using their Pocket PC without worry.

The biggest headache is the usage of software, even freeware aren't suppose to be repacked and distributed freely, so probably also needs some PR people to contact the authors to get permission to use their software...

My ultimate aim is to get vendors to promote the packages on their web sites, or even pre-install them so that Pocket PC will be more usable to the public... hopefully, Microsoft can grab some idea and incorporate in their future releases too, smartass.gif

I can't do all the work myself since they are zillion ways to personalize, and I've very tight schedule, really dare not commit too much except that I'm willing to impart the skill and knowledge to anyone willing to help out... I don't care if one earn money doing it, don't have to pay me "sifu" fee too, as long as he/she can help the community, sleep.gif
