Looking for one that can directly pair with the IIi. Is here any?? confused.gif
Symphony
I have one good one BT Headset from iTech, I can lend you try first and see whether it works on your O2 IIi before you buy. Not sure IIi supports mp3 play via BT Headset. grin.gif It works on my X50v Pocket PC though.. whistle.gif

May I ask where you got the HT-820 and the price? I believe it also works for phone calls - is that correct?
blitzwing
today i went to EDPOL in funan. I saw the HT820 and i asked to try it out however i couldnt listen to my mp3s (played using media player) or my video files (played using tcpmp player). However i can hear the clicks i made using my stylus on the screen.

Is there any special configuration i need to do ? I wanted to get it but since it didn't work i thought ill come back and ask u guys about it first.

It was going for $125 incase anyone wants to know

Edit: Forget to mention i am using XDA IIi

hi chico,

can post some feedback on the HT-820?

since most of our PPC, HP have no A2DP, i beleive we can only pair with 1 device only...

1) is the sound quality good?
2) hows the battery life?

trying to compare between the iTech and Motorola, since both also allow 3.5mm input/pass though so can work with both HP/PDA at the same time.

You can try loading the High Quality Audio Profile first. It's available at HP for iPAQs with the Widcomm stack.

An interesting thing about the HT820. If you connect it to your PC, it not only charges, it is also recognised by the PC as a HID. However, that's as far as it goes.

Hmm i only see a default profile for my XDA IIi. Do i need to install any additional bluetooth profiles or something like that ?

hi blitzwing,

I think for the XDA IIi, you need not install any additional profiles to be able to listen music from bluetooth stereo headphones...there should be a profile there for it...

I must go and check out that price. I was in Tiong Bahru Centre (has some funny new name now - can't remember what) and there was a ground floor phone shop offering the HT820 at a special price of S$168! And the guy told me it would work ONLY with Motorola phones (!). Then to make it worse despite having it advertised outside the shop he quite happily said he didn't have it and would have to order it, as if he would be doing me a big favour.

HI,
I heard from guys who have bought the I tech clip S. You need a bluetooth adaptor or sort of gateway... Don't quite understand how to go about it. Sometimes pairing with Motorola's Ht820 will also have problems connecting. Any "guiding light" out there that can help ? Thanks. grin.gif

You would need a device that has audio gateway profile. So far only the 2i (for ppc pe)
supports it. You do not need a bluetooth adaptor as ur device should have bluetooth.
You might wanna tell us what device u are using.

one question for those using Motorla HT250 on the XDA IIi...does your HT820 skip a beat when sometimes playing MP3 with it...

and the HT820 can be used as a bluetooth headset for the XDA IIi too right???
Jornada720
Wow,.. these guys are blood suckers. Thank goodness I managed to get mine at $99.

Sure no prob, selling it cos it cannot stream audio while playing video files...

As you guys would probably noes, i use my x50v mainly for watching animes... so cannot stream audio while playing video... dun suit my needs right...

At first i tot like plugging in earphones, once connect all the audio output would be directed to the headset... apparantly i am wrong about that... it can only stream mp3...

Then how come his device special can work one... Hmzzz... me using the 1.6 BT stack...
i first install the HP one, then copy the stuff from the xda-developers over to the windows directory... now all 1.6... yet all the buttons will work... vol up and down, forward, reverse, play and pause... all work...

Tried the set with my pc... even more solid... totally no skipping, and all the buttons work with WMP too... Quite shiok... How i wish the headset would work with TCPMP... then it would be quite perfect for me liao...
rick83
rivaldo,

yes, I think the encoding does play a part in the disconnection...some of the MP3 disconnects when i play it and other works perfectly fine...i am trying to see whats the difference between them...
rick83
i hate these codecs*

A few question regarding the HT-820.

(1) Can the HT-820 work with HP6365 ? I want to use it for handsfree and also to listen to MP3.

(2) How good is the handsfree mode ? Could the caller hear you clearly ?

(3) If I don't have the charger ? Can I charge it via USB port ?

(4) what's the batt's lifespan for per charge ? and How long does it take it for full charge ?

Thanks guys :)

regards.

In this way a HP Bluetooth Headphones and a Motorola HT820 works with my xda IIi in a2dp mode.

1. remove the RunBT file from the Autostart dir -> softreset

2. Install the PDA2K_BroadcomCorp_BTUpdate.cab -> softreset
http://www.pdagold.com/forums/view_topic.asp?t=5012&fi=0

3. Install the HP iPAQ Bluetooth Stereo Headphones Driver Update -> softreset
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/ha...load/22475.html

If the error \windows\btceavif.dll in use come, rename it with Resco File Editor and try again the driver update.

4. Put the the RunBT file back to the Autostart.
