You have just read the title and there is no mistake. CNET Asia has confirmed with Google that they will be bringing the Street View service for Google Maps to Singapore soon. In fact, one of their cars with a camera mounted on top has already been spotted. Have you spotted it somewhere too?

i have seen a truck, more like a sporty van.. with camera on top facing front, and 2 acing left and right at orchard rd (near wheel lock rd)
but that was like almost 1 year back,,,
was that google?

I remember there's another company that was mapping Singapore streets too. Can't remember the company name but the van is ornage in colour and there are lots of cameras and stuff sticking out.

spotted a silver hatchback with a camera mounted about 1m from the roof. there were google logos on the doors of the vehicle. saw it at sim lim tower open air carpark last thursday morning.

why do i feel unsafe walking nowadays.... must be more aware of what I am doing

Any update when the service will be available? Would be useful for my wife to see actual buildings and not 2D or 3D maps!!!!!

I think it will take quite some time, considering that Google has not made any public announcement yet.
