Google has released a new version 2.2.0.20 of Mobile Maps for Windows Mobile. It is a map software with enhanced features like you never seen before:

Detailed directions — Whether you plan to walk or drive, Google Maps offers turn-by-turn driving directions - and thanks to My Location, you don't even have to enter your starting point. You can also get the directions to your destination on request.

On the Google site it says public transport details from over 50 cities around the World! In actual fact it is only 17 cities around the World and over 50 in the US!
They may think they are the World ....

The threads have many posts about not being able to get maps fast enough or having map data overwriting e-mail. For the price of the data you download you could probably easily afford a better driving solution BUT....

... in general GPS driving software availability is shocking as software and map providers focus on non PPC proprietary sat.nav. hardware.
