This new Omnia-like mobile phone device called Edelweiss has been hitting the mobile news circuit. It is made by Emblaze, the largest phone manufacturer in Israel and will be offered by a Russian Telco soon. Operating system is still unknown. But what is unusual is its high screen resolution of 480 x 854. It has 3G connectivity, an internal GPS and an option of 8 or 16GB of storage capacity.

Great, the Russians have come up with an even bigger phone. That's progress!
