In a rather unusual step, Microsoft has released the beta of Microsoft Phone Data Manager which allows users to sync their phone data with their Desktop. What is interesting is that this sync manager allows users to sync not only Windows Mobile Phone but also Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones running on Symbian OS. Looks to be more about syncing your phone data with the web than your desktop. In a complete phone solution people would have been expecting phone data management to include SMSs.
