After taking over Eten, Acer will launch new Windows Mobile phone under its own name in Q1 2009 according to this report. Acer is not exactly new to the Pocket PC arena, it has made some good Pocket PC handhelds in the past like the ACER N311. Acer is hiring more employees for their mobile phone business unit to prepare for the new product lineup. That will indeed be sweet news for WM Phone consumers as it may prove to be a competent and competitive player.
