The Android powered HTC Dream will be released next week on 23 September in USA and hopefully shortly afterwards in Singapore too. It has a 300 Mhz processor compared to iPhone (600 Mhz); HTC Diamond, HD and Pro (528 Mhz). It also has a 3D graphic accelerator built in, 3G, GPS, Wifi, Mobile Chrome browser and a touch screen with a trackball control. Just like the iPhone, there is a main menu button when pressed will get you back to the main menu. With two years plan price will probably be below S$500. Rizz.com has live photos and a video here for us to drool over while waiting for it to land in our hands. It is good to get it early, slowly grow and understand this new Android platform which is strongly supported and developed by Googles. There will be many interesting new applications, games and softwares for us to try.

Well, the main story was on HTC Dream, but there is mention of Touch HD in the last paragraph. Nevertheless, it is a weird choice of image to use. unsure.gif

They seem to make the Android OS sound very open and flexible. Are WM based applications going to be able to be ported to Android or perhaps run on some sort of WM emulator within Android?
