Looks like the X1 could indeed be the first and last WM device in the SE Xperia Series. Not so much due to the rumored breakup between the two giant partners Sony and Ericsson, but more due to there is no love lost between Sony and Microsoft. This is according to reports like this one. So if you are both a SE and WM fan, cherish the Xperia X1. Its days are numbered.

This only means that if there are future Windows Mobile devices, they may or may not be using the Xperia series name. The Xperia series is not dedicated to Windows Mobile only.

I think it will be the beginning of a whole series of WM phones by ericsson as rival Nokia now owns symbian. Unless they can find or create their own alternative.
