According to Kevin Chen, General Manager of HTC Middle East, Africa & CIS, HTC devices may have Windows Mobile 7 running in early 2009. WM 7 will provide better support for large WVGA touch screen interface and will have multi-touch capability, and "gestures" allowing the user to execute simple tasks with things like finger swipes, and even moving or shaking the device itself. Most of these new features are to counter iPhone according to a Microsoft internal document. So looks like we have to thank Steve Job and team for the "new" innovations in WM7. Thanks to
