Greetings ,
Its now two chargers malfunctioned in a 6 month period. Actually the original lasted over a year and then the wire braiding within the cord itself broke (i put it down to rapping the cord around the wall socket itself.
So a new one was obtained from Dopod/Htc headquarters but now its only 2 months and without ever collecting the cord into a bunch its finding connection with the USB socket side an off/on affair.
What's the best thing to do (iv another reason to look forward to getting the touch pro (i hope))
ill have to get a replacement if only for a short term fix.
Is getting another from HTC the answer ($35)or a
3rd party replacement ?
Thanks

Just go with a third party replacement.

make sure u get a gd third party. having dealt a little bit with USB chargers, they have an internal resistor that tells the phone whether u are using a original charger or not. therefore, if it detects u are using a poorly designed third party charger, not designed with htc in mind, charging will be much slower, at ard 0.1A as compared to around 1A for original. like that, u might as well charge using USB. just my 2 cents.
