Try using the Omnia as a magnifying glass:
Turn on the camera mode
Switch to Text or turn on macro mode
Place the subject about 10cm away from the camera lens
Using the volume up/down button to adjust size of subject to be manified on screen
Hooray... You got a magnifying glass!

And don't forget to press on the camera button to focus on the subject...
