If you go to /windows in omnia,
you can find SoundTester.exe
Double-click on it then click on menu.
It allows you to adjust audio control of speakerphone or ringer volume etc

Sorry guys, there are normal, talking. There is headset, handset, speakerphone.
And what is DAC, SPK, MPBST, RBST AND RVOL?
I guess all this is for sound engineer, any one can advise which will improve the speaker volume and headset volume?

This tweak is awesome but I jumped the gun and diddled with some of the wrong settings. Can someone post a screen shot or a listing of the original setting so I can reset some of mine (should have wrote them down).

Hi al brothers.. I've tried tuning up the headset volume with Soundtester and it work great!
As mentioned earlier by a fellow forumer, I've was playing a song on Media Player while i went on to File Explorer to open Sountester.exe. I choosed Headset settings, and after playing around with the various settings, I found that HP(04) is the actual config to increase the volume without affecting much of the quality. DAC(0C) actually loses alot of quality when volume is increase. Technically speaking, I'm no sound expert, so i can't explained on it why it turn out this way. So just higher up the HP(04)!
Cheers my mates.

I think mine was around -1.5OD, default if not wrong is around -4.5OD.
Guys, try playing some music with the headset connected while tuning. It will effect the music volume instantly.
Cheers!

Ok guys heres what i found:
For those who wanna increase their ringtone volume change these settings:
DAC(0C) value to 10.5dB
SPK(02) value to 0dB.
RVOL(12) value to +22.5dB
Warning: will use up more batt power and the speaker may become damaged. i dont recommend
increasing the ringtone volume to max unless u have a hearing problem.

For Handset,
i leave it as:
DAC(0C): -1.5dB (if leave it at 0dB, i hear a cracking sound)
SPK(02): 0dB (i wonder is it safe to leave it like that?)
RVOL(12): 24.75dB
For Headset,
i leave it as:
DAC(0C): -1.5dB
HP(04):-7.5dB
RVOL(12): -1.5db
For DAC, i don realli dare to go for 0dB & for HP, don dare to go farther. As i heard a cracking sound too.
maybe my omnia sound chip too powerful?
