Sometime it does not work what you think it will...
UnInstall and reinstall with a new copy will work well.

I would advise all who are following this thread to do the following first:
a) copy the contents of the /Program Files/SPB Mobile Shell to some space on your storage card. If all fails, you can still recover.
b)extract the skins and then copy them to the directory.
I think the skins do not work and I believe Simon0311 has not tried them out on his Omnia (I fell into the trap of the WM7 skin).
For the skin to work, it must fit our 400x240 screen size (not 320x240 as most skins are). Also, because of the size difference, the button placements are in the wrong place. I am very hesitant to try this out again as I spent almost a night trying to get WM7 to work, and when I posted my findings, Simon says - more work to be done.
If the skin is not specifically for the Omnia - don't use it!

Thanks for the comment..
I tested Burnt Orange so many time on my Omnia with SPB 2.1.0 and working well each time.. All the skin for Burnt Orange are 240x400 and 400x240. One of them is in qp_bkg_now(separator2.bmp) and you may checkout..
I'm not going to finish WM_7 as I found a newer version 1.1 out somewhere which I'm going to start where I stop on WM_7 and finish it with the newer version which I started that causes so many unhappiness here. And thats the last SPB 2.1.0 Skin for Omnia i900 I'm going to work on..
I find the forum thread which is not suitable for skin releases as it does not allow to edit thread after a while.

It works now! All I need to do was reinstall it.. Thanx!! However, I was just thinking how can I add in more profiles or icons in the program page or even the home page?

Overall, good job there, dude!

Use programs such as resco explorer to see it. you may have to create the fonts folder if you do not see it

Yup! As requested by Kelvintwc, can someone help to upload this to any site other than RapidShare? It's almost impossible to dl anything from RS in SIN as we're all sharing common IP addr... unless you
Pay
And
Pay to subscribe to ISP's biz dedicated line or maybe with RS' premium dl svc...
Someone pls? ...
Thanks!

Simon, well done! I know how difficult it is to convert an ambitious skin like the ones you have done. Keep up the good work.
I see that you are now an expert in xml editing. Perhaps just a suggestion, why not have a 5 x 3 format for programs and MRU? Or for contacts you can have a 5 x 4 tab instead of the standard 4x4.
I have done it for the i780 which is a square screen. Program and MRU tabs are 4 x 3 instead of the standard 3 x 3, this is to take advantage of the extra 80 pixels horizontally. My contacts are a 3 x 5 instead of a 4 x 4, to create a much cleaner look.
Overall, Very nice and Very well done!!! :)

Hey Simon0311,
I want to change the Background Pictures. I tested it with gq_bkg_now.that.
I use winzp to open the that file and use the right password. I change the picture in a new bmp picture and save this file as zip file with password and rename it to .that. I save this file in the right directory on my omnia. But the MS Theme doesn`t work after soft reset. I don`t now why !?
Can you help me ?

hey guys, i tend to lurk and read before i ever post anything, and i just cant seem to get this working. i have SPB 2.1 installed and it works, i put the "files" folder in my documents and i also put font into the windows/fonts folder. i also put in my documents "glossy black bars.exe" and "diamond burnt orange.tsk" and ran glossy black bars and selected diamond burnt orange, however the changes only turned up in windows 6.1 interface (running in the background), and not on spb menu
any pointer would be great, the omnia is my first PDA.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw this theme and it looks great. I tried to install it several times, but it still doesn´t work on my Samsung i900 Omnia.
- I installed the current version of Spb Pocket Shell from the homepage
- I downloaded the file diamond_1.2_c_burnt_orange via rapidshare
- I unpacked the files and put the directory "burnt orange diamond today theme" into my documents
- I selected burnt orange diamond in the today themes (after that, it was in my today screen, but only 3/4 of the screen??? The lower part of the screen was still black)
- After that I started "Glossy black bars.exe" with my file explorer
- Then I copied the directory "files" with all files to my documents
- At least I copied the folder "Fonts" with all files to windows
and made a soft-reset.
But it doesn´t work. What´s wrong?
Thanks a lot
Jo

I have downloaded and installed......
Found it is not 101% for the Omnia....
The lowest section of the screen is redundent.....

If the lowest section is made useful, we could probably have more contacts displayed...
Want to know, in SPB Mobile shell, you can only have max of six menu displayed on the Programs page, with this theme, I could have 8, but there is space for the 9th, how do I get the 9th menu??
