Been searching for another similar product with 35mm plug and radio. But seems like this is a niche product. Hopefully itech can improve on the quality.

Seems that the MOTOROKR S605 also has radio and 3.5 mm plug.

Anyone tried the MOTOROKR S605, and how does it compare to iTech Clip D-R ?

U must have seen the article in DigitalLife?
I saw it at a shop in RafflesCity, same level as foodcourt.
Was quoted an initial price of $138. Then they brought it down to around $105.
Looks a bit bigger than itech. Disadvantage is no display.
Was in a hurry so didn't buy it there. Might get it soon.

I bought a S605 today at one of the phone shops n Bedok Central. Price quoted by shop: $78. Could not resist.

Trying it out.

I have tried out the S605 for a few days. Besides the stereo ear plugs, it comes with a short mono ear plug in case you wish to use it for phone calls only, or for listening to mono mp3 music. This short mono ear plug is not suitable for listening to radio which depends on a longer wire to act as the antennae.

This S605 appears to be developed for Asia market. Could not find the specs and features in Motorola site. Perhaps it is just recently released.

Found the following info on it from HWZ (AU)'s press release at http://www.hardwarezone.com.au/news/view.php?cid=2&id=11179 :-

• Ultra lightweight at 17 grams
• Has a built-in FM Radio with five preset radio stations
• Allows for easy toggle between calls, streaming music and FM radio
• Music can be remotely controlled; skip track, lower/raise volume, pause/play
• Able to accommodate standard 3.5mm headset jack so that users can use their favorite headphones or those included
• Music can be streamed from any brand of compatible Bluetooth stereo phone or music device that support Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP)

PRO : as above

CON : no lcd display for caller-id or radio/music status.
Also, when it is ON, and I use mobile broadband on the phone, the bluetooth connection is disconnected. Can someone else confirm this?

Could you please share how the bass and stereo for mp3 are, compared to if you directly plug your earphone to your mp3 player / phone?

I bought the S605 for listening to radio and monitoring the phone while driving, as my wife likes to listen to cd music on the car stereo.

The only mp3 I listen to are audiobooks.

Perhaps some other user can answer you regarding the bass and stereo on the S605.

MotoRokr S605

Advertised Price $98 (comes with a free mono headset) with no strings attached.

Never waiver for dishonest saleperson.

I am staying in the west and there is a shop in IMM lvl 1 outside starhub shop, I bought mine there and the people really give me a good product run through before i buy and they actually charged up the headset and pair it for me. Last but not least, I bought it at $89 as they are currently running a full range Motorola Bluetooth promotion.

Hi guys, I just got the Motorola S605 and Jabra A125 ipod adapter. The S605 paired up perfectly with my Touch Diamond and A125, sweet! grin.gif

Got it at $98 at Starhub Shop (Paid together with $50 voucher, so in effect, paid only $48 in cash). Saw it at a couple of places going for around $85.

The headset doesn't switch back to radio after taking a call while listening to radio though... Have manually switch to FM radio again.

For LCD display, you can take a look at the S705, sound pilot. Have been using it for close to a year.
