Hello everyone, this may sound silly but does anyone know of a good shop or anyone online selling 8GB microSD card?
I used to buy from this person on yahoo auctions but its been down indefinitely and I don't have his contacts. Is Sim Lim Square a good place? What do you guys recommend?
Thanks a lot in advance

Sandisk Class 6 8GB microSD card should cost less than $80 IIRC. 12GB microSD cards have not arrived yet, let alone 16GB ones.

SDHC cards come in 3 classes: Class 4, 6 and 8. These indicates their minimum data transfer rate in MB/s.

Yes, Sandisk also has a 8GB Class 4 microSD card on sale. The Class 6 one comes with a free USB microSD (SDHC-compatible) card reader.

Erm, something you guys should be taking note of is that some shops does parallel imports which is the main reason that they can sell the items at a cheaper price. But claiming warranty would be tougher.
Though it cost a few dollars more at more reputable shops that only take from local distributor and the claiming of warranty would be much more breeze.
At SLS, don't just look for the cheapest price, but rather which distributor the shop takes it stuff from. I learnt it the hard way, the downtime is not worth the few dollars you save in the first place.
For Sandisk card from local distributor, can take a look at one of the shops at the 3rd floor selling routers, pdas and accessories. Pretty competitive price i would say.
