Actually Microsoft (NTUC building) is heavily guarded by "ERP" gantries, so no matter what, it is either this one or the other one you will be greeted...

You can try to park around amoy street, near Boon that Street- these are all URA parking lots. 50c for 1/2 hour. That should be the cheapest around that area. But do make sure you put coupon, cos got lots of uncle and aunties (URA staffs)

I am not quite sure if there is a parking lot there, but you can refer to this
http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...ock=CBD%20RatesPlaces u can consider are One Raffles Quay, SGX 1.
Since it is after 5, it is relatively okay, cos it is a flat rate for entry.

Yes Han Lin, I should be going, as far as my current schedule stands.
From Alexandra Rd you can take the West Coast Highway and then hit Keppel Road, Anson Road, all the way up to Lau Pa Sa.

Yea, this showed how big their heart is, but from last night's presentation, I will stick to Powerpoint instead of Keynote from Mac.
Anyways thanks so much for all who came and stayed to the end.
The mods and some senior members(early PPCSG members) all agreed that this was one of the best turn out and group of people, there was very good questions asked and good conversation going on at the meeting.
For those whom won, please talk about your prizes and share more. Those whom won the hardwares, please share with us what you think of the devices!!

Good morning!
It was a great event. Learned something about the OMNIA which I can pass on to my colleague. And kudos to those who popped excellent questions about improving WM
I was abit surprised though when Microsoft talked about Windows 6.1 because if I rem correctly, my colleague's OMNIA from StarHub is already running 6.1. Going to check with him later.
I guess I was a little lucky yesterday with the ipaq 614. Haven't won anything for a long time.

Thank you to PPCSG organisers of last night's event.
Just 2 gripes:
1) why all the postings and email about being there at 1830hrs and not to be late cos you have good speakers and everything and when i arrived at 1825hrs, your people there said it will only start at 1930hrs.
2) the lucky draw prizes of back issues of megazines reek of "giving for the sake of giving", ensuring more people win prizes in the draw. i mean, compared to the expensive gadgets given away, how much does an old issue (dec2007/jan2008) of megazine cost? at least give a current issue of any megazine.
other than that, i appreciate the effort you guys put into the event. I know how much work must have been put in putting up this event.
Thanks guys!

I was impressed with the mapking on that sichun real time sim tracking thing. It will be useful for bosses to track on their staffs hahaha ;p kidding
Hv to really thank him for flying in for this even and hv only two hours sleep n two meals nia. Its really informative on what mapking can really do. It will really be nice to hv the smart assis (if I remember the name right), whereby photos will pop up on the destination and can call directly fr the pop up window.
Samsung has good presentation on the Omnia but too me, its a little too focus, afterall, this is a microsoft event not a Omnia workshop, so I think dont really need to emphasis too much on one particular product. The poor guy fr KJC hv to rush through his presentaton briefly. maybe in future, there should be a time set for each presentation? M not against anyone, but hv to be fair for each representative fr different company ma ;p
Yes, last night event was the best I hv attended :) worth getting zap $4 to microsoft office kekekke ;)

A big thanks to the PPCSG organisers for organising such an informative gathering. It's really good to have the reps from various companies to come down and hear our praises and complaints about their device and software.
It's my first time attending a PPCSG gathering, and it turned out to be one of the best. An additional icing to the cake is i've walked home with a i.voicePRO bluetooth headset. kudos to the prize sponsors for sponsoring the prizes.

It was a good gathering with some interesting presentations (though I really cannot fathom the Samsung rep's constant apologist attitude about the Omnia), but it really overran for too long, and without dinner beforehand I was feeling too hungry to stay on - which was a pity because I never got to learn the easter eggs from the HTC ep.
A few comments:
1) If the event starts at 7.30pm, and the presentations are expected to run for so long, perhaps it would be good to have called for a break in between instead of waiting all the way to the end. I am sure I wasn't the only one who rushed down after work without having eaten dinner prior.
2) This is probably a constraint of the venue, but a classroom style setup seems more suitable for a symposium and not a semi-formal gathering like this one.
But it was a good gathering nonetheless, and reminded me of the good old days when SPUG used to have these too :P

yeah, i thought so too. Going home with a hardware requires a fair amount of luck.
anyway i've collected the i.voicePro. Was using it in the evening. As compared with my previous V3 bluetooth headset (cheap one, abt $78)... this i.voicePro fits better in my ear, and the noise cancelling is quite significant (was talking in my car with the radio at quite high volume).
but i never had a chance to use a higher-end bluetooth headset, so wat i think is good may not be good enough for you. Nevertheless, it's an upgrade for me from my current V3 set.

yah have to admit i'd won or else i'll feel guilty whenever i look at the ipaq
I'm still considering if I should change my x500 to the ipaq because the former is still working perfectly fine. My o2 mini lasted me 2 years. I've been using the x500 for a year now. Got new toy but got headache also
